Yeah couldn't disagree more. If we moved him to DE in a 4-3 I would agree. But I actually think this gives me a little hope that the guy may have a real career. As a standard 3-4 ILBer I wasn't very excited about his potential prospects.
 
Love hearing that they're going to be active in FA and early in the draft with edge rushers.

Of course that probably means signing some guy barely capable of starting and not a legitimate starter but hey.

You'll know during the first couple days of free agency if things are different or if it's just business as usual. Signing 6 guys to one year deals is not actually being active.
 
Anyone think Loofah can do any good as an edge?

Well sure, I think this is a desperation move only for a guy you're trying not to have to cut. But I wonder if he can at least be a decent backup.

I don't know about desperation. More just looking at the guy and realizing he isn't a good regular LBer. So they are trying to take advantage of what they do think he does well.
