This is so random and arbitrary, it’s silly.
Hoffman, our only backup C.
He’s done far more in 3 seasons than Garrett did in 10.He's a good coach, there should be no question at this point.
Hopefully they break through this year.
The narrative around the league and even with some Dallas fans that he's not a very good coach is crazy. When Rodgers started whining about him in Green Bay, that shit took hold hard. He's a good coach, there should be no question at this point.

It’s true, but 2/3 seasons that has proved meaningless. It’s how you finish that counts. This was the first year we started 1-0 under McCarthy. We have lost all three openers under him before this.
Losses to the Rams, Bucs and Bucs.

It’s hard to say how it would impact seeding and playoff pairing. But we were postseason bound for the second consecutive year.Maybe, maybe not.
Last season, I think winning game 1 might have helped their seeding in the playoffs and helped them avoid SF. Maybe even get the 1 seed. It might have helped them get further.

Agreed , my bar was set low for so long. I need to raise my expectations to meet this new standard of elevated play . This win will be very significant now that HFA is realistic and pivotal. In terms of actually making the playoffs I agree with you. The first game of the NFL season has little bearing on it other than it's a win or a loss on your record. This year was a little more important as this was an NFC East game as opposed to the Rams or Bucs. But in the end it's way more important how you're playing in December as opposed to how you're playing in September. So I get what you're saying.
Still the win helps. No denying that. Just gives us an advantage we didn't enjoy the last few years.
Seriously, this was the nail. The narrative around the league and even with some Dallas fans that he's not a very good coach is crazy. When Rodgers started whining about him in Green Bay, that shit took hold hard.
Definitely would have boosted their confidence to have taken down Tampa Bay after that last minute loss the previous year.Maybe, maybe not.
