I don't agree or disagree - I simply don't care what the exact number is because it distracts from the actual point that we've given them over $100 billion dollars of taxpayer money and we shouldn't be doing that.

The truth is that I doubt we actually know exactly how much we've sent over there at this point.

But even the lowest estimate we're told is way too much.

THAT'S the point.

If you're quibbling over the exact amount it's simply an attempt at attacking Trump rather than discussing the actual issue of whether we should be massively funding a war in Ukraine that doesn't advance American interests and yet detracts from our ability to do something useful with our public money like pay down the debt.

Whether the exact dollar amount Trump cites is precisely correct or not is an intensely myopic criticism that should be given zero credence whatsoever.

While I'm concerned that the Supreme Court stopped Trump from demolishing USAID, I don't see how given their ruling on that issue that they'll allow him to unilaterally end the Dept of Education.

That has to go to Congress.

Even if he tries to starve it out, the next President can just beef it up again.

The Impoundment Control Act says the President must report promptly to any deviations in budget authority and otherwise appropriate all funds for the purpose designated by Congress. It’s been the law for 50 years.

I probably did call him out when he would throw out bogus numbers about the economy doing well that were both fabricated and phony. But when you exaggerate the amount of waste going on its a little different? Did Biden or Harris ever speak or care about waste?
