I think this thread will work. Tons of discussion already in here about potential staff. I might change the title as we progress, though.

As far as I can tell Nolan has always had a massive DT or two plugging the middle in his defenses. Guys like Aubrayo Franklin, Isaac Sopoaga, Paul Soliai, and even now with the Saints where he is just the LB coach they have a plugger like Malcom Brown.

Long story short, I'd be shocked if we didn't bring in a run-plugging DT via FA or the draft.

Marinelli generally did a fine job here, but like almost any other coach there comes a point where things start to sour.

I don't think the fans (especially the ones that pay attention) were all that enamored with the hire. I know for damn sure I wasn't.

David Onyemata and AJ Klein are two Saints free agents I'd be interested in, both could potentially be starters and neither should be expensive.

I think most were. He had top 5 defense 2 of the 3 years he was the DC there.
