I know those other teams are bad, but look at the shit on the Lakers roster. Lonzo is going to be a non-factor and the rest of their starters are dogshit. Lopez hasn't been anything great since his foot injuries. Unless Ingram vastly improves, they are bottom 5 to me.
Maybe, although I can't see any way they are worse than the Hawks, Bulls, Nets or Knicks, that already puts them at 5 at the absolute worst.

But what you're forgetting is that those 4 bad teams are all in the east. They will beat up each other and give each other wins. The Lakers don't have that luxury in the west. My guess is at least 2 of the 4 end up in a better position than them.

Cavs trade Kyrie to Boston for Isaiah Thomas, Crowder, a scrub big man and the '18 Brooklyn pick.

LOVE IT!!!!!! Good thing we didn't waste those valuable assets on scrubs like Jimmy Butler.

I think I would still take Cleveland next year in a 7 game series, but long term Boston should have the advantage.

Kyrie is nowhere near the 2 way player George or Butler are and never made the playoffs until LeBron came so I'm not quite sure what you're crowing about.

And yes, unless the Cavs implode they still beat the Celtics in at most 6 games, probably 5 and the Celtics have a 0% chance of beating the Warriors or whatever other super team forms next off-season with LeBron unless they can somehow get Anthony Davis or another top 10 player.

Yeah, I'd have much rather had Butler and Isaiah Thomas than just Kyrie.

Sour grapes from fans of a team they wished could get that Brooklyn pick.

I really like the trade for Boston, but I too would rather have Jimmy Butler over Kyrie.

And the idea of Isiah Thomas and Jimmy Butler definitely sounds better than just Kyrie.

I understand looking for the best fit for the team, but how could you not make a starting 5 of Thomas, Butler, Hayward, Tatum and Horford work?

That starting five would give the Cavaliers a run for their money. The one that's on paper today, however, I still do not think is good enough to beat Cleveland.

We shall see.... But overall I still do think it is a good trade for Boston, but I just think they could have gotten better before the draft.

You're also not looking big picture. IT4 is in the last year of his deal and wants a max next season that Boston wasn't going to give him. Now we have Kyrie for 2 years and a player who legit deserves the max.

Still considering Kyrie wanted out, I think Boston overpaid.

I can see the big picture.

Like I said, I still like the trade for Boston because they got a better player than the one they had.

But there is no doubt that they left better deals on the table before the draft and that they would be better off with George/Butler and Thomas instead of just Kyrie.

Personally, I would have gone for Butler.

OKC have talent now, no doubt.

Let's see if the coach can make it work.

It's going to take them a month or so to get in a good rhythm playing with each other.

We don't have much of anything coming off the bench but the beauty of having 3 capable scorers is having option to stagger their minutes to ensure a playmaker/scorer is always on the court.

I think they are also counting on Alex Abrines to take another step in his development. He was a solid shooter as a rookie last year.

I absolutely can't wait for the first time a game winning shot is needed and then it ends up in the hands of Roberson. You will lose your mind.

:lol

Shiiiiiett.....after all those missed FTs in the playoffs, once the clock hits the 5 minute mark in the 4th quarter of close games, he shouldn't even be on the floor.

If the rumors are true....there's a very strong chance that Wade is about to sign a deal to join the OKC Thunder.

It's like Christmas in September. :happydance
