Very early. You had to be 17 or older to see it in 1982. That means 90% of Gen X was barred from seeing a movie about "their" generation. Feh. Sixteen Candles was way more Gen X friendly.But I kind of see bb's point in that it's kind of early Gen X. I'm a pretty early Gen Xer and it came out before I was even in high school.
