Saleh or Carroll?? I’d be ok with either one, but I do think the game has passed Carroll by. Maybe not a lot, but I wonder if the rah rah, 1000mph 4 quarter gum chewing shit has gone as far as it can go.

To me it feels like maybe they were caught off guard by McCarthy choosing to walk away. I think they were probably assuming he'd be back, and that's why they don't seem to be operating with any clear plan of attack.

As others have pointed out, they pretty much screwed themselves by how they handled McCarthy. By dragging things out they missed their windows to interview the best candidates. Feels like he was Plan A and now they're scrambling trying to piece together Plan B.

I think Moore was plan B or at least he was the guy that most wanted once McCarthy decided to move along.

I just think the initial meeting with Moore didn't go as they imagined so now they're scrambling trying to figure things out.

I'm seeing that Steve is gonna be a Mike Brown type owner.

I thought about that as well.

Unfortunately the Jones family is in the perfect spot for that method to be successful from a financial perspective.

They will all end poorly. Some just quicker or more poorly.
I can see Carroll having moderate success but we're obviously not winning the Super Bowl with him or anyone else, for that matter, so long as the culture and atmosphere in Dallas remains what it is.

That’s 100% what happened.

They saw a fat man in a sweatsuit and thought he’d react like Wade Phillips to Jason Witten being Jason Garrett 2.0.

They overplayed their hand and never thought in a million years they weren’t the ones with the winning hand.

Then why should we care who they hire if it's all destined for failure? Jerry and then Stephen will be around for a long time. Jerry maybe just a year or two, but Stephen will probably be here another 20 years.

Stephen bringing in reinforcements. I wonder if the only reason why they are so hot for shot is because he will take the lowest amount? I have to say that I think that is the exact reason.
Gross.

I think every true Cowboy fan has to realize sooner or later that the immediate power path of Jerry, Stephen and Jerry Jr almost assures any talk of SB appearances is a pipe dream.

All 3 are arrogant narcissists who really don’t know anything about building a true NFL team and all 3 are perfectly ok with the culture and mindset that has infected the team for years.

The question is, will any of the younger Jones generation somehow develop a different mindset, or even just sell the team? Either scenario could break the cycle, but it’s not happening with the 3 current clowns in charge.
