I’m 100% on board with punting Q-2 into the Gulf.I'll take Deion if he brings Shedeur and we can punt that piece of shit Prescott into the Gulf of Mexico.
This organization is patently idiotic but I don't think this is their type of flavor of idiocy.
... of AmericaI’m 100% on board with punting Q-2 into the Gulf.
The good thing is that Lubbock has nothing of value. So, break away! LOLI will fucking break things.

Jerry was fine giving him a 1, maybe 2 year extension (because he refuses to fire a HC with years on the deal) and McCarthy refused.
I hear they have a few billboards that say bullshit something or other, blah blah blah on them. The good thing is that Lubbock has nothing of value. So, break away! LOL
It now has more than Los Angeles....The good thing is that Lubbock has nothing of value. So, break away! LOL

He never really had all of that, I think you need two star skill position players and an OL that has 1-2 Pro Bowlers along 2-3 other solid starters, although that's not significantly different from what most other top tier QB's have. You need an all star team of talent around Dak to get over the hump.
You need Lamb, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Jason Witten, Ezekiel Elliott before he was washed up, and a star offensive line.
Then Dak can win. Maybe, since he had all that at one point and still didn't win.
Edit: Oh wait, I guess Lamb and Witten missed each other by 1 year.
I also completely did not remember that apparently Witten "retired," after 2017, didn't play in 2018, then came back in 2019 and played for the Cowboys again? I have literally no memory of that. I remember him playing with the Raiders in 2020.
How sad is it that of that list, I'm hoping for Gruden? We won't hire Ben Johnson lol.
Like Geng said, it'll be promote Zimmer, re-hire Moore, or an old retread that no one else wants that Jerry will try to sell as a splash, like Gruden.
And let's not even discuss the fact that they'd theoretically be starting a HC search more than a week after the rest of the league.
Just pure genius at work.
The fact that they sat on their hands for a week while other teams interviewed candidates, including one of them actually making a hire, is just another example of how indifferent these hillbillies are when it comes to actually winning games and competing for Super Bowls. So now, it's another period of re-tooling to get the team to look like what the new HC will want. This gets back to the age old issue that there is no overall guiding football philosophy with the hillbillies. Another period of Hall of Fame talent like Lamb and Parsons wasted. And sticking with Dak long past his expiration date.
As Simp and others have said many times, McCarthy should have been fired last year. And I think it was time for him to go, but inevitably what comes next will be worse.
If it's Moore, I'm out. I'll be shocked if we aren't hearing about stealing an excellent coach back from a division rival soon. ~Jerry wink~
That's why it'll probably be Moore. Dak loves him and there won't be any adjustment period. That's one reason I don't think a Ben Johnson would happen even if Jerry would pay his rate, which he wouldn't.So now, it's another period of re-tooling to get the team to look like what the new HC will want.
