I would love to see Green Bay win this game, but I think they are just weak. I think the eagles win comfortably.

Saquon is going to run all over them. He'll go for 130 tomorrow

Still surprised there's been so little news on the coaching situation. Unless it's just that nobody has posted it here... but if anything substantial were happening, I'd think we couldn't help but about it.

And day after tomorrow, Mike is free.

Totally bizarre.

We wait until the last minute on players so might as well wait on coaches as well.

Nope. Nothing missed other than Jerry Jones’ nonsensical fuckery.

What a fucking shit show.

Does this organization have any fucking plan at all? Does it have any idea what it wants to do?

No, it's just gonna hire whoever the hell will coach for their financial terms, which will be peanuts.

Man, Jerry in the old days had no clue what he was doing but at least he'd spend money. Stephen has no clue AND won't spend money. Not even on a coach.

I think Jerry is complicit in this too though, he's always been weird about the coaches and their contracts. But yea, I think the plan is honestly to lowball McCarthy and if he leaves, lowball Moore who they know would jump to be HC in Dallas.

And of course his offense looked like pure, warmed over shit yesterday.

And let's not even discuss the fact that they'd theoretically be starting a HC search more than a week after the rest of the league.

Just pure genius at work.

It's also possible Jerry never really intended to bring Mike back and is being petty and vindictive by making him wait for his contract to expire.

Jerry will announce when it's most advantageous for him to do so.

Mike will prolly stay.

If he doesn't (15% chance I'd say) then we'll see a bunch of interviews with Detroit assistants, etc.

The plan is hire a coach that gets how Dallas does things because that simply ain't going to change.

I think we missed the boat with Quinn, frankly, but there was little we could do about that short of outright scapegoating Mike for the Green Bay mess, even though we know it was a lack of defensive personnel primarily at fault.

If they really intend to hire a new HC the fact that they've waited a week to start the search is...something.
Maybe Jerry was certain he could bully Mike into a cheap deal by keeping him off the market for a week, but Mike is Jerry's first coach in this situation who actually has other options and has some leverage.

My theory of the case is that Jerry always intended to let Mike go after this year -- the do-nothing 2024 offseason and the expiring contract matched up too well -- but had second thoughts lately that Mike was a good coach and employee, etc. And now Mike isn't having it, at least not at Jerry's lowball price.

It won't be any Detroit assistants. If he isn't paying Mike he definitely won't pay what Ben wants.

Think other northeast assistants.

I don’t think Fat Mike is nearly in demand as his agent is making out. Sure, some team like the Bears might still be impressed by what he did in Green Bay, but he has not really impressed in Dallas. His teams have been undisciplined and his game management has been incredibly poor.
Not according to a lot of guys here. They think he’s done a good job.
Me personally, I think Rodgers made his offensive system look way better than it actually was. The only thing I’ve never been able to figure out is why he’s never had the two backs in his system in Dallas like he ran with the Packers.

Billy Bob Thornton should have been handed the best actor Emmy on the spot for keeping a serious face when Jerry was blathering about his kids and how proud he was of the Dallas Cowboys.
I think that motherfucker actually teared up telling that Jones inbred hillbilly story. Probably drank a fifth before he read his lines.
