When I was looking up something about Whitt, I saw that his wiki page already has him hired as "Commanders" DC.

Wonder what's going on with that. Is he just seeing who offers him the most, or waiting to hear the sales pitch on how things may play out here, or what.

Probably wont be announced until after the Super Bowl. Listening on the Fan they were saying that the NFL teams are advised to not interrupt the Super Bowl news cycle. Now they could hire this week but not announce it or Jerry goes rogue.

Our DC choice is not worthy of SB week. In fact, it will likely suck therefore more appropriate to release in much more low profile environment.
