Yeah pairing a dude like Butler with Reader for example would give us instantly more mass in the middle than I can remember in decades. And you could still draft someone and rotate in Hill if he earns the chance. The nice thing about our defensive coordinator is that he seems hell bent on getting the talented guys on the field regardless of what you call the formation.Butler would be a nice cheaper addition when combined with a guy like Pierce, Reader or Hargrave. Onyemata would be another guy like that, someone I'd be interested in but not as our top signing at the position.
Getting two true 1 techs would help tremendously. And there's some solid 1 techs in the draft. That would give us a damn good run defense upgrade. its about damned time, too.Getting two true 1 techs would help tremendously. And there's some solid 1 techs in the draft. That would give us a damn good run defense upgrade. To say the least
Yes, it gets old watching RB's bust our chops right up the gutits about damned time, too.
I'm good with any of them. Spend the money on the Dline instead.Trae Waynes, PJ Williams or Mackensie Alexander would be more than fine as mid-level replacements for Jones, assuming we don't want to just start Awuzie/Lewis.
A lot of nice names on that list...
My big hope is that since McCarthy was starved in FA in GB, that he convinces Goof Son to open up the wallet.A lot of nice names on that list...

We quite simply cannot depend on the draft alone with the number of free agents we are dealing with.
Those two won't eat up anywhere close to all the money. Now if you go resign Quinn, Cobb and Byron Jones than you might not have much left. Maybe just bargain stuff then. But are we gonna have the money after signing our own guys? I know we're probably gonna franchise Dak. But there is also Cooper and that adds up quickly.
I see some some solid talent on that list
He had zero sacks last year.Raekwon Davis from Bama, not Robinson
I wouldn't be happy if that's what we do. You've got a shitty Dline and money. Seems kind of silly to use that money to bring the same shitty Dline back. And I do like Quinn. But just seems like a bad idea to try and roll with the same dudes again. We'll have more than enough to make 2 significant signings after dealing with Dak, Amari and Cobb.
Now, those signings may simply be replacements for Quinn/Collins, or they may actually be re-signing Quinn/Collins, but we'll easily be able to afford two more deals in the ~10-12/year range after absorbing deals for Dak/Amari/Cobb.
That's not saying we'd give Collins that much, but if we sign him for like 7 and Quinn for 11 that would tie us up pretty good aside from another mid-level signing here or there.
yeah, Im over Collins. Start over with mass.I wouldn't be happy if that's what we do. You've got a shitty Dline and money. Seems kind of silly to use that money to bring the same shitty Dline back. And I do like Quinn. But just seems like a bad idea to try and roll with the same dudes again.
I would re-sign Quinn. The man beasted this last year. Now, everyone else on the DL... see ya.I wouldn't be happy if that's what we do. You've got a shitty Dline and money.
