Maybe RB but do we really want to take one in the first?
Yea it just seems relatively unlikely when there's 1-2 per year who go in the first compared to the 5-7 OT's.Depending on the guy, yes absolutely.
I think we missed on him as far as being a top player at the position. Well I should say at LT. I just saw him too many times last season with the armbar choking the defender as he got beat. Perhaps Im wrong and he gets better but thats my opinion as of right now.Do you guys keep up with this Voch Lombardi guy? I know he has a huge following and is a big personality and likable guy, but is he a good scout? Because he's a huge Guyton homer and says there's no doubt you play him at LT against the Eagles even with no practice. Says he basically didn't lose any snaps against any of our DEs the entire camp except for a couple plays against Eze.
I like Guyton, but I find that a little hard to believe. Maybe he's right, but I saw him barely lay a hand on Eze a couple of times and those happened to be the only reps he lost all camp? Even if that's true, to me Guyton has a lot to prove mentally this year. I don't trust his head.
I guess my point is, if Guyton is really that good, maybe you just move Thomas to RT -- where he could be excellent -- and you're all good.
I think he's ok but I wouldn't take his opinion too seriously, I also think there's a decent chance he's trying to suck up to the team so that they hire him as a mouthpiece like the dumbass Walker guy.Do you guys keep up with this Voch Lombardi guy? Ever notice that he got beat the same way almost every time? It was always an inside move and he basically would get called for holding every single time. No one was really turning the corner on the outside with the guy. He has too great of feet and athletic ability for that. So at the end of the day it just kind of looked like a technique issue to me. I think that can be corrected. No guarantee but it's not something physically limited.I think we missed on him as far as being a top player at the position. Well I should say at LT. I think you move him to the right side and get better results.
He called Stafford "Matty Ice"
This seems kind of crazy to say. You're telling me at final cuts that there won't be any players on any other teams that get cut that are better than the 53rd guy on your roster at a position of need? That's ridiculous. Everyone has strong and weak positions. You're going to be in a position to cut a player at a deep position who is better than a player you'll have to keep at a weak position.
So no Gilmore, y'all. :(
Good to see Dak in mid-season form already…
That would mean we had a real GM running the team. This seems kind of crazy to say. Why not trade that player for a player of equal caliber at a position of need and improve your team?
Schott has made a point to praise him several times. The Fan guys said he was doing well at picking up blitzes also.
I hope they don't cut him to keep Williams and Sanders.Schott has made a point to praise him several times.
I don't think there's any chance Mafah gets cut, they'll keep 4 RB's first (5 if you count Luepke).I hope they don't cut him to keep Williams and Sanders.
Why did we have to pick those two spares again? Wish we'd just kept Rico and I'd feel pretty decent about our backs... Though I still think we're going to be wanting more during the season.
Side note, I hope Blue isn't one of these always dinged up guys. Seems like he should be back from getting stepped on/bruised by now, but they're saying he probably won't play this week, either.
And they will go three TEs with Luepke penciled in as a fourth TE/RB.I don't think there's any chance Mafah gets cut, they'll keep 4 RB's first (5 if you count Luepke).
They'll just go a bit lighter at OL or something.
