Pssst.

He was a bust from the get go. A product of a great defense in which he fed off of.
And the worst thing of it all is that it will probably keep these shitbirds from trying again.

Maybe, but he was one of the best players on their defense his last year though, Graham was a freshman and Hutchinson was gone. It was a very good college defense of course but it's not like it was littered with high round picks.

You had a few guys but he was definitely one of the top guys his last season.

I think the most likely situation is that he's just a bit of an idiot and the jerking around with his weight (or him just not being a fit in Quinn's scheme) just exacerbated it all.

So are we to believe that “Schotty” is somehow sitting on some new innovative offensive scheme that will propel the Cowboys to the SB?
No not at all. But I guess in the relm of known, people still don't know what it will look like yet.

I like Schotty and am hoping he does as well as possible under the Jones clowns, but I wish he'd stop talking so much about himself. He's so friendly with the media and they almost bait him into getting too casual IMO. I hope he realizes these guys aren't his friends and will use anything he says against him the first time things go south, as they inevitably will.

I'd be a little more like Parcells when he said I'm here to collect information, not give it out.

Not that it matters football wise, just a little PR I'd do differently.

I’m just a big believer in practice, and the more they practice this “new” offense the better they will be in the first 3-4 games of the season.

I think trying to hide a scheme in this day and age of football is a bit dumb. He’s not bringing anything revolutionary to the game or anything a DC isn’t going to figure out in a week or 2 of the regular season.

For sure, but I guess it's just an attempt at gaining any possible advantage on the Eagles that first week. After that it probably won't matter.

Plus I kind of wonder how much of this is, Jerry won't let me play starters anyway, so why show our schemes with a bunch of backups?

I agree with you. Especially because one game into the season everyone is going to know what the "scheme" essentially is. No one is reinventing the wheel, all the plays NFL teams run for the most part are ran by other teams. So it's not like anyone is really reinventing the wheel. They are just putting their own twist on it.

Personally with a new offensive and defensive scheme, I'd like these guys out there practicing what they will do against other teams as much as possible. It's the only real way to be ready for the season in my opinion.

For sure, it will do that.

I think he just sucks whether he is 325 or 290 or whatever. They are desperately trying to salvage him.
I mean of course they are.. they want this to work so bad that they are compromising that position just so they don’t look stupid … wonder why our run defense has been lacking … jackasses

So Schotty reveals today at his PC that he had cancer -- thyroid cancer -- and Dan Snyder (who also had it) helped him get the best treatment and he ended up being fine.

Steele getting his ass whipped left and right, as per usual.

Can't wait until they get rid of this fucking gump.
This may be stupid and not matter, and I know I'm kind of homering on him, but one thing I've noticed and like is how Thomas is so rock solid in his stance. He just looks steady and doesn't move his body at all. Then look at how Steele is moving a little and almost looks jittery and nervous before the ball is even snapped. You can almost tell just from that he doesn't have confidence in himself.

They should be planning for moving on from him right now.
If Thomas impresses enough I think the easy answer is leave him at LT and move Guyton to RT.

But even if Thomas just looks like a good backup, if Steele plays like he has the past few years again I think you have to get rid of him and then prioritize OT in the draft.

It's not ideal to go OL in the first so many years in a row, but ultimately I'm struggling to figure out what might be a clearly bigger need aside from DT.

Maybe RB but do we really want to take one in the first? QB arguably depending on how Dak plays?

If we re-sign Pickens and Bland I think you can rule out a good number of positions.

Yea, it's a combination of strength, balance and technique, Thomas just looks way more centered.
