This is all scheme. Put one of our tards in that defense with that scheme and they probably too have more pressures.

Yeah we were just talking a few weeks ago how Eberflus historically hasn't produced a whole lot of pressure. It almost seems baked into his scheme that he just doesn't worry that much about it.

I was reading that Sam Williams is playing more like a 5 technique in this defense. Which isn't going to lead to much in terms of sack numbers for example. But helps with run defense.

Yeah, it's a wrap.

They don't have the personnel or the coaching to right the ship and the energy surrounding the team has been bad going back to training camp.

But this is what happens when your 82-year-old and senile owner reverts back to his absolute worst ways.

I'll say it again -- this is the Dave Campo era all over again but with better talent.
Dave Campo era but with a competent (albeit not great) QB.

Yeah, that pretty much looks like the long and short of it.

We went 7-10 last year missing the QB for half the year. With a backup QB for the whole year, who is to say we don't lose another game or two? And now we've subtracted probably the best overall player on the team from the roster (Parsons).

This is definitely a 5-6 win team if you had a backup caliber QB in here (as was the case in the Campo years).

The QB is the only difference. And he's 32 and has never won a thing.

This is the dregs. I don't want to say rock bottom but this roster is aching for a complete rebuild. It's really bad.

I mean, in today's NFL you are never more than a couple solid offseasons away from being a playoff team again, but as the gamut generally runs from bad teams to good, this is a clear cut bad team. Bad coach. Bad roster. Mediocre QB who never can elevate.

I don't understand how anyone looked at this team and thought "We should try to contend." It's a joke. No chance.

There's only any semblance of playoff hope because when you have even a mediocre QB, winning 8 games is always a roll of the dice.

Getting past that? Zero percent chance. No hope here at all.

What is the deal with all the injuries these days? Not just here, but all over the league? Didn’t always seem to be this way. I don’t think Randy White missed a game in his entire career.
They don't practice. They don't train.

It's all celebrity parties and then walk throughs in practice.

This is also true, the CBA limits practice so much. Like after our Eagles game they mandate like 2 days off for the players or some shit. That didn't use to exist, if a coach wanted to practice they practiced, if a coach wanted to rest guys, they rested guys. Now the league mandates only so many padded practices and if you go over the line with contact you get in trouble with the league.

I'm not saying NFL players don't work hard on their own, but the coaches can't even push these guys as hard as a high school coach would push players.

Tyler Booker likely headed to IR with ankle injury

FRISCO, Texas — The hits keep on coming for the Dallas Cowboys, that's for certain. As they sift through the fallout of their 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears that also cost them CeeDee Lamb due to injury, they're also now concerned about Tyler Booker.
The rookie first-round pick suffered, like Lamb, a high ankle sprain at some point in the contest but also played in every snap of the game before discovering one day later he will miss multiple weeks.
That of course means his injury is much worse than Lamb's.
The offensive line in Dallas is already without starting center Cooper Beebe, who was moved to injured reserve just last week and is expected to miss upwards of two months. That thrust Brock Hoffman into the role, and it will likely now be T.J. Bass manning the post to Hoffman's right.

Booker was off to a strong start to his career, to say the least, in both pass protection and in clearing running lanes for Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders.
If he joins Beebe on IR, he will be forced to miss a minimum of four games before being allowed to return to action.

Tank time. But Jerry will probably trade both our firsts for some guy with a year left on his deal

WTF? If anything he needed to be playing over some of the scrubs we've had in there.

This is what happens when you keep a bum like Mazi on the team just because you think it somehow helps you save face.
