There us only 3 hundredths of a second difference between the three. That's pretty damn close for hand times.
This is true but I always wonder if there isn't a little manipulation going on. Like if you're the Cowboys, you're telling people he ran a 4.58 just praying he falls. If you like Egbuka or a different WR more you're going to claim to have seen a 4.46 forty. And yep, no electronic timer to tell us like at the combine.

I guess if I was that interested in a player, I'd have my own stopwatch on them and not rely on a rival to be telling me the truth.

Well of course you'll have your own stop watch. If others tell you the answer to a math problem is 45 and you got 36, you'll start to question if you're right.

Still makes no difference to me, running in the low to mid 4.5's should put him solidly in the 8-14 range.

I'd be a bit surprised if he gets past Carolina and New Orleans.
If I was a team that wanted to draft him I would have said his speed was 4.57 too. Not low enough to look like sandbagging but enough that teams obsessed with 40s might rethink it.

It's the time of year when teams lie about players to try to manipulate the draft.

In the end kind of like Mykel Williams 40, it doesn't really matter. You watch a player play and you see what you see.

Jeanty isn't one of them, not sure about the rest.

But this could be one of the reasons they signed two vets, unless they're able to get Jeanty it'll probably be a coinflip on whether or not the RB they take in the 2nd/3rd (or later) range is any good in pass protection.

With Williams and Sanders that's not as much of an issue.

I've already pegged Williams as the third down guy. Rookies often suck at it. It takes some coaching but anyone with a little effort and size can learn.

I'd still roll the dice on him in the 3rd as long as his work ethic off the field checks out, but you can't consider him at all in the first 2 rounds.
Yeah he was already dropping to that third round range anyway in my opinion. His testing doesn't worry me. It's the work ethic and attitude that I'm concerned about. He has legit physical tools. But workout numbers are often a reflection of how a guy prepares for that workout. And if those numbers are poor I question a guys work ethic.

Prediction: we're taking Milroe in the 2nd to try to copy Philly's success with Hurts.

The McGinn grouchy scouts are talking:

Love to see it.

I might pay the $8 or whatever for a month so I can post some of the write ups.

And yes, Burden gives off major diva vibes, just another reason I'd never touch him at 12. Golden on the other hand seems to be the complete opposite.
