Everybody and their mother has been linking Jeanty and the Cowboys and we have deep ties to the Boise program, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they don't bring him in on anything (30 visit, Dallas Day, etc.) but still ended up drafting him.
You also don't need a formal meeting with a guy at the combine if you're bringing him in as an official visit. People read to much into these "visit" lists during the combine/seniorbowl/Hula Bowl or whatever. So I was really just joking. Plus a lot of these guys will end up talking to almost every NFL team in some capacity.

Oh, no no no no no. Your thinking is waaay out of whack. That's our 2nd rounder.

Possibly even late first if we trade back in to get that 5th year option.
I didn’t see him get injured. We only take injured projects in the second. Right?

When I read Kiper say that "some teams around the league have Jeanty/Hampton neck and neck, and some even prefer Hampton" I kind of just brushed it off as Kiper throwing random shit against the wall at times during draft season. He tends to throw random edgy stuff out early on before backing off of it as the draft gets closer, but then I looked at Jeremiah's rankings (who has deep contacts in the league and usually has a good pulse on things) and he also just moved Hampton up into the top 20.

It was one of the biggest moves up his board from the previous iteration, so he must be hearing something (or being gaslit by his sources).

Under no circumstances would I actually want to take Hampton at 12, but if he runs in the low 4.4's or better at 220+ he might have to be a consideration if we were to trade down to 20ish.

Too rich for me, I'll take a different back later.

Looking forward to having Ewers’ pussy fart cannon of an arm on the team.

I doubt that we will take him. I doubt we take a QB before the fifth regardless. And honestly if we do nothing in free agency and don't resign multiple guys we will need those picks in the fifth, sixth round just to fill out the roster. Like you need backup RBs, LBer depth, corner depth, Dline depth and all that stuff on day three. You can't really even throw those picks away this year unless you resign guys like Dowdle, Osa, Golston, Lewis and Kendrics (or replace with good free agent additions). Otherwise those picks will be needed to make sure you have more than 2 DTs on the roster, more than 2 LBers, more than 3 corners, more than one RB.

This is all assuming you've already drafted a RB and DT in the first few rounds. You'll still need more unless you do something.

Warren won't be doing anything at the Combine either except interviews.
Another guy who I'd like to see run. Not that I particularly care with a TE. Lots of great TE's don't run sub 4.5 forties. It just feels like there is something to hide when a guy does this. Like can he not run a 4.6-4.7? That's plenty of speed for a man that size. But my mind starts to wonder if he can crack a 4.7. And sure he may run at the Penn State Proday or a personal workout but I really don't trust those numbers.

I trust the Pro Day stuff a bit more than I used to given how the COVID year went down without a Combine.

Either way I think from the games it's obvious that Warren has enough speed given some of the huge plays he broke off. I'd have loved to see a confirmed 4.6 or something but not seeing it doesn't impact my opinion much.

Kind of hope he tries it and gets torched on defense.

It just isn't realistic. Especially with the owners about to force an 18 game season plus the playoffs if you make it.

Graham measuring under 300 and with 32 inch arms might actually be enough to push him closer to our range.
Don't get my hopes up...

I'm all in on Jaxson Dart, and get a deep ball WR to go with him.
