I also think Johnson is a better pure CB prospect than Hunter honestly.

The allure for me on Hunter is as a WR who might be able to play some CB here and there, or as a fallback if it doesn't work out at WR, but if I had to take him as a CB-only I'm pretty sure I'd rather have Johnson.

Yeah I think Hunter is a better WR than corner. I don't get why everyone is leaning corner now. Although I think it's just because it's easier to play corner full time and WR a handful of plays a game as opposed to the opposite.

This is from an ESPN article quoting a GM:

"There are four, maybe five, blue-chip players" one NFL general manager said. After that it's 40 guys with a late-first-round or second-round grade."

Every year you hear things like this but it aligns with how I've seen this class for a few months now, and it's why I'd argue for Jeanty if he's there. It's a unique situation given how deep RB is but I think Jeanty is one of the few blue chip guys, and if he's there at 12, you probably have to take him.

Does "on-field drills" include the 40, or not?

One thing that worries me a little about him is that 11.3 high school 100m I saw. I know speed isn't the end-all for backs, but still.

In the fifth round? Sure, I'll roll the dice. He has some talent. But not before that. I prefer a QB like McCord more but I don't think he lasts til the fifth.
Oh, no no no no no. Your thinking is waaay out of whack. That's our 2nd rounder.

Possibly even late first if we trade back in to get that 5th year option.

He's a local so we can smokescreen it up and use Dallas Day for the visit. :thumbsup

Reminds me of a Sam Howell prospect. Was once a first round prospect. Then people realized he isn't that accurate, he isn't that big and there is nothing really special about the guy. He regressed this year.

I think he has NFL good enough tools. But if he goes before the fifth it would be too rich in my opinion.

I've actually seen him in the top 10 in some recent mocks.

I mean obviously the guy wasn't convicted of those things. But I guess didn't Sam Williams have something similar in his background? Maybe they would be best friends at DE.

Simp? You worried?
Everybody and their mother has been linking Jeanty and the Cowboys and we have deep ties to the Boise program, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they don't bring him in on anything (30 visit, Dallas Day, etc.) but still ended up drafting him.
