Apparently it is pretty much every Colorado Buffalo.

Carter and Kneeland are different enough that I think we could easily make both fit.

We need another legit edge rushing threat opposite Parsons though, we could probably get away with Kneeland but if we have a shot at a top 3 player in the class I'd be more than happy to take them.
The thing with these guys is you can make them all fit. And you really don't want any of them playing 100% of the snaps. It's not like Kneeland is useless if you draft another DE/pass rusher.

And frankly you just need elite/impact players up front. You can't really pass one up because of a second or third round pick in previous years.

I'm already pretty sure I want us to get the highest pick possible not to pick that high, but so we can trade down a few spots for extra picks and still take Graham. Or even a little farther and get someone else. But we need multiple picks more than one more "star".

I have thought about this as well. This team has a lot of needs. Some are pretty extreme if we do nothing in free agency. DT, DE, RB, WR and Safety just off the top of my head potentially. If you're not going to do anything in free agency and you're going to live in the draft, you need more than just a couple of bullets to build the roster.

Seeing other teams trade down in the first and get these draft hauls is absolutely something I'd look for. Not that we don't trade down. But trading down for an extra third is far different than trading down at the top of the first round for future first, second and third round picks.

It only works well if you trust the gm with getting value. He has shown us that it's far from that.

Stay where we are and at least get something.

I mean we got value in our trade down last year. I don't know that we have gotten poor value in our draft pick trades. Just as long as no players are involved.

And generally speaking I think we actually do really well in the draft picking players. It's sometimes hard to see because we focus on the misses. But ultimately no one is batting that high of a percentage in the draft. You need more picks if you want to hit on more players. You're going to miss on some. Hell some teams continually miss even in the top 10 of the draft.

Our only chance at a scenario like that is if we're in the top 2-4 and have a QB needy team picking right behind us.

Teams know we aren't going QB ourselves and unless the team behind us is likely to take one we probably won't get full value.

I'd do either. I was thinking of trading down just a few spots instead of going for the huge haul, but whichever makes more sense.

I don't want to trade down to the bottom of the round or anything like that. We do need to pick high enough that we know we're getting very good players.

I wouldn't trade down to the bottom of the first or anything. But when you're in the top 5 range going down just a little can net huge returns.

How does anyone listen to that moron? Not only is he a sports idiot, he's a huge d-bag while being so. I don't get it at all.

I would like to punch him in the fucking mouth.

If they were smart (haha), they would deal Diggs and Parsons, trade down and gain a whole shit-ton of picks. Considering how averse they are to handing out big contracts, you'd think obtaining a multitude of picks would make a lot of sense as a team-building philosophy for them.

Not so sure about taking another RB that was run into the fucking ground in college in the top 10 again.

Now this I could get on board with. I appreciate that when you read the writeups on the guy it sounds nothing like Mazi except the school they went to. First step quickness, relentless, play making stats.

9. Dallas Cowboys (3-7)
Mason Graham, DT, Michigan*

The Cowboys began the 2024 season with Super Bowl aspirations but are picking in the top 10 of this mock, indicating a roster in need of a talent infusion. They've locked in their offensive nucleus with extensions of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, but Graham could help on defense. He has been an unstoppable force for Michigan, posting 12 run stops and 22 pressures this season. I love his first-step speed through gaps and relentless effort in chasing quarterbacks.

The Cowboys could also go running back here given their rushing issues, and Boise State's Ashton Jeanty (my No. 10 overall player) is still on the board. But the Cowboys need help at too many spots, and the RB class is deep enough for them to wait.

Have you not seen him much?

He's one of those guys you don't even have to "scout" that closely. He jumps off the screen in every game I've seen him.

Yep, my only question is how hell measure. If he's actually 305 I'll be less intrigued based on what I've seen in games, but if he's a legit 315-320 he's a no brainer.
