So you trade up to four and might not even be able to draft a poor man's Parsons? Like what does this accomplish for the Cowboys?
Seems legit

I think he's a legit mid to late first type of QB but the baggage with his dad and all the external nonsense is only going to hurt. Was listening to a Lance Zierlein interview and he was matter-of-fact, didn't sound personal at all, but was basically trashing Shedeur. Said teams don't think he's a first round QB, he's a game manager, he's ordinary physically, and some teams told him you're getting Deion along with him and the criticism that daddy will bring on the team, and that's just not worth it.
Just have to point out again how silly the hype around him was. It was all based around his daddy. Totally absurd, but everyone in the world jumped on the hype bandwagon. Sad how few people will think for themselves.
I wouldn't say that Deion has somehow artificially propped his son up. It's actually almost the opposite. I think teams will shy away from the outspoken father. Was listening to a Lance Zierlein interview and he was matter-of-fact, didn't sound personal at all, but was basically trashing Shedeur. I'm talking about the hype the last couple of years. The media and people covering football propped him up because his dad was Deion. I remember the first several weeks of 2023 at CU when the networks were doing all the pregame shows from there and telling us how amazing they (Deion and Co.) all were. If he'd been the exact same player at Eastern Illinois, he wouldn't have been talked about as a top-5 pick, Heisman candidate, etc.I wouldn't say that Deion has somehow artificially propped his son up. It's actually almost the opposite. I think teams will shy away from the outspoken father.
They were utter shit because they had a horrific roster. Deion came in and used the transfer portal to switch out almost the entire team, which at the time was unprecedented. That's why they were so improved. Shadeur didn't come in and make the team that was there before that much better. It was an entirely different team.I know Sanders sort of has this average arm. But now we are going too far the other direction. At QB he basically took a team that was utter shit and made them good. People forget just how bad Colorado was before the young Sanders arrived. And his impressive stats back that up.
Frankly neither is Caleb Williams. And if you watched that Colorado team the last couple years you'd understand their roster still isn't that great. Building your entire roster through the transfer portal isn't exactly some instant solution either. Their Oline was still absolute garbage for example. Probably because you actually have to develop an Oline. And I'm not saying he can't play at all. There's such a QB shortage in the NFL, someone will probably take a chance, like always. I'm just saying he's not the transcendent talent he was sold as the last two years.
I've been saying that for the last two years. Don't want anything to do with him, his dad, and their circus in any round. Was listening to a Lance Zierlein interview and he was matter-of-fact, didn't sound personal at all, but was basically trashing Shedeur. Yep, the circus is the real problem and concern. Dude needs to go to a good system and just learn. You think his dad will shut his mouth while that's happening? NopeI've been saying that for the last two years. Don't want anything to do with him, his dad, and their circus in any round.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't just be Deion shooting his mouth off. You'd have people like Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith, that dumb twat Josina whateverthefuckhernameis, and others like them crowing about how he's being held back and not given a chance because of his daddy and the color of his skin.Yep, the circus is the real problem and concern. She already tried to stealthily ruin that unnamed coach who didn't like his attitude because of what you're talking about, which I thought was completely uncalled for. Maybe the player just does have a bad attitude and it's not about his skin color? Is that not possible? Not like there haven't been plenty of white QBs over the years who were arrogant asses.Josina whateverthefuckhernameis
I'll start... Joe Namath. Not like there haven't been plenty of white QBs over the years who were arrogant asses.
For sure, but I meant ones that turned teams off with their attitudes. More like Josh Rosen. I should have been more clear.I'll start... Joe Namath.
Uhhh... white arrogant QBs...? How in the hell did you miss this softball?I'll start... Joe Namath.
Very good point.Uhhh... white arrogant QBs...? How in the hell did you miss this softball?
Baker Mayfield ring a bell?
Eh, that's not really special like we were told. Thats just kind of what you'd want in a full size DE. I don't want him. (I didn't want him regardless of the forty)
It would not bother me if he was on the short list at 12.
His mediocre production doesn’t bother you?
