He does this shat…. Putting things out there to influence it actually happening. He believes his mocks and rankings actually have that reach. All I know is it would BE a reach to draft Hampton that high
Yeah he throws a lot of shit at the wall too. And then suddenly he gets more realistic right before the draft.

This makes sense since he is perhaps the most prepared pass protector in the class.

Just saw this, but I'm curious... Why does he do this and what is he trying to accomplish by doing it?

To C-rock also.

Yep, that combined with his ability as a receiver and Gibbs being the new hot thing teams want to emulate make me think he won't be there at 44.

I think for attention. I also don't think he really scouts at all. He just gathers information from teams. So it's hard to have a clue until teams sort of start leaking their plans a little.

I also think his opinions can be manipulated in the same fashion because doesn't really watch players and form an independent opinion.

Not sure what "much earlier" then expected means. I mean I view him as a high second more than likely. So late first doesn't feel "much earlier" to me. Now you tell me someone wants him in the top 15, that would shock me.

And I like Henderson but my personal feelings? I'd rather have Judkins. Maybe it's a preference in style but it feels like Judkins does more with less. And I think he is very underrated. I think Henderson does more when things are perfect. Which happens a lot at Ohio State. But I think I actually like Judkins more.

And I get that I'm going against the grain on that opinion. And it's not meant to be a knock on Henderson but I think Henderson is getting overhyped a bit. I don't think he displays the power, balance and instincts that would make for a first or high second at RB for me. I'd be happy with him at 44 but that's about where I think he should go. And if he is gone, I may be happier with other options.

He's getting overhyped because out of the top RB's he resembles Gibbs the closest, but to me he's not a 1 and I think that'd be a bit of a reach. I'd love him at 44 but if someone takes him in the 20's it's a bit over the top for a guy I'm not even sure can handle 15-20 carries a game consistently.

Pass protection is said to be a weak point in a supposedly great RB class, so I guess it would make sense that a guy that can do it would rise.

It's a pretty common concern with rookie RBs. They just don't do a ton of it in college. I think it's something most RBs can learn if they are willing to put in the effort. It's not that hard.

What do you guys think of the NFL.com rankings? For instance, just on RB, having this guy from AZ and someone from UC Davis called Lan Larison well ahead of guys like Neal, Giddens, and Harvey... Is this legit or as wheels off as it looks?

I think Zierlein is kind of a fucking crank.

That was my guess, but I don't follow these things closely. Isn't it kind of strange that the league's own ratings would be so weird, though?

Just seems to me that there's little accountability for many of these guys. It's like a guy continually making bad stock picks but people still listening to them. But then look at Jim Cramer, he gets a fortune from CNBC even though he's been a joke for years.

So the Arizona kid is interesting. He played like one game and then the NCAA pulled his eligibility for some BS reason. He was great before he transferred to Arizona, was great in that one game and then was awesome in the Shrine Bowl. I get some of the buzz with him. He flew under the radar because of the eligibility issue but if you look past that, I can see why some would really like him.

Larison is white. He just catches the ball well. Someone may want him for some super special role but as a pure RB their ranking is retarded.

These mock draft sites are so realistic...
