Yeah, that's about as strong as I've ever heard a current player say something like that.

I wonder what the player is even thinking of... In what ways is Mike not able to run the team the way he wants?

My guess wouldn't be as much who will play each week, but how to run practices, not having too hard a camp so players don't get hurt, that kind of thing. But who knows. Of course I'm sure Jerry makes it known he wants his highest-paid players getting the ball.

Again, it's pathetic that this has gone on for years and no one from our local press will tell us. There's no way they don't hear these things.
Uhh, maybe he did not want to deal with the albatross of Elliott on the roster for starters?

:lol

Funny how people can try to make anything sound better to try and justify their stance.

Also, this wasn't in any way shape or form an attempt to "compliment" Mike. It was to show that Denver and Nix aren't nearly as impressive as you're trying to make them out to be.
Of course it was impressive. They won with a rookie QB and because of severe cap shortcomings they weren't significantly better talent-wise than the teams they beat. I knew you were Jerry's #1 lapdog on this forum but I didn't realize your affections extended to Mike.

That's a given. I assume it's a lot more than that, though.

I don't know might be a combination of all that. But I think the players knew damn well that McCarthy didn't want to play Zeke this year. I also know there was a point where McCarthy wanted to play Lance and Jerry made it very clear that it was going to be Cooper Rush.

I have no doubt that the players saw that situation with Zeke as one where the owner wanted Zeke on the field and the coach knew he wasn't any good.

Good stuff there from Jane. That's the kind of thing they should be finding out and telling us.

Forcing Rush all season but then pulling him before he hit his incentives was a Dick Dastardly move.

It's starting to make sense now.

Money is the sticking point.

McCarthy wants to come back but knows he's severely underpaid.

Jerry wants him back but doesn't want to pay him commensurate with what most other coaches get.

So Jerry is cryptic about whether he's going to resign him because if he can't get him cheaply he'll let him walk but pretend he wanted to go in a different direction.

McCarthy's camp has been floating these rumors about other teams being interested because he wants the Cowboys to up their offer.

Jerry wants to drag his feet and play this out as long as possible in the hopes that McCarthy's other options dry up and he'll be forced to take Jerry's offer.

Jerry's talking about incentive based contracts because he sees it as a compromise - the only way he wants to pay McCarthy more is if he earns it through winning.

Except that's not how it works league wide. Seattle just hired an unproven assistant at almost double super bowl winning McCarthy's salary.

Payton has a very similar resume to McCarthy and makes about triple McCarthy's salary.

I'm guessing none of them have heavily incentive based contracts.

Jerry is an out of touch moron.

Wow. He just compared McCarthy to him granting a washed Elliott's "wish".

He is not even trying to hide what a cunt he is anymore.

I cannot see for the life of me why anybody would want that job and to deal with him on top of the shit pay.

Is the "prestige" worth all of that?

He gave an example by the way, and surprise surprise it's about money.

It's in Jerry's best interests to let this play out until the 14th, because by then most of the other jobs might be filled, meaning Mike will have no choice but to crawl back and sign a below market value contract from Jerry.

Cheap motherfuckers. What the fuck has happened to Jerry Jones that he is a fucking miser now?
They have a money printing machine running on auto-pilot.

Don't change a thing!

The funny thing is he's blocked coaches like Garrett and Al Harris, despite them "wanting to be somewhere else".

Which tells me he's bullshitting with this response now, and basically is as I said above negotiating through the media. Daring Mike to go elsewhere because Jerry's going to pay what he's going to pay and that's that.

Fucking cheap ass cuntbag.

I think this is it in a nutshell.

Use the extra week or so to slow roll McCarthy talking to other teams in order to get concessions, and if that doesn't work just bring in shit bird Moore who would probably be fine keeping Zimmer and will likely bring Witten back as TE coach as a bonus.

If he has any pride at all, he should tell Jerry to fuck off and take another job. He would make more money elsewhere, I bet. There's nothing attractive about this job anymore.
