Yeah, this is not a great decision by him.Is this kid a moron or what?
I don't mind Harrison not running because he's clearly the top WR no mater what, but if I was the Bears I'd consider going elsewhere at QB.
Yeah, great looking receiver, but c’mon.Also... "Ohio State Supernova Marvin Harrison"?
God damn, Breer.
Yeah, I don't mind it with this player. We know his speed. I'm not knocking this one.I don't mind Harrison not running because he's clearly the top WR no mater what, but if I was the Bears I'd consider going elsewhere at QB.
The problem is they won't take anyone else because they'll get raked over the coals and they don't want that sort of backlash, but if this was 1995 I bet they'd do it.
And they'll all be drafted high, which is why they're doing it. A bad combine or pro day can only hurt them. These Diva ass athletes today are something else, man.
Yep, jump to a big program, get a big check and get drafted higher.
Not long from now, the big programs will dominate the Combine. NIL makes it less and less likely you will see that small school Cinderella make it to the Combine in the future.
Future NFL bust. Not hard to see.
No agent.
No throwing at the Combine.

McCarthy's decision is a smart one, as he wasn't required to throw much at Michigan, and looked REALLY average (at best) when he did. This may be a way for him to prove that he's a bit better than the game tape indicated....which isn't true, but at least he's going to try.
There are some dumb decisions being made.
And seriously, there are grown executives, supposedly football smart, that will drop a serious investment on this kid.Future NFL bust. Not hard to see.
I think he is wired to succeed, I am not convinced he has the tools. But I could see him doing okay in a ground and pound scheme.McCarthy's decision is a smart one, as he wasn't required to throw much at Michigan, and looked REALLY average (at best) when he did. That's been my assessment of him since he took over as the starting QB with us. He has the right head for the game, but I don't see the physical ability that so many claim he has. If anything, he strikes me as a guy whose real future is in coaching.I think he is wired to succeed, I am not convinced he has the tools. But I could see him doing okay in a ground and pound scheme.
It's because they're attracted to the sizzle. But, we all know that the sizzle fades quickly in the NFL. What Caleb lacks are the foundational tools for the position: emotional maturity, discipline, leadership, and intangibles. Just because he can make an electric play every now and then in the Air Raid offense doesn't mean that he's a franchise QB.And seriously, there are grown executives, supposedly football smart, that will drop a serious investment on this kid.
Yea, he mimics how Mahomes plays so naturally the hype builds that he's the next Mahomes/Rodgers, when in reality he's a cheap imitation just like Zach Wilson was. He's better than Wilson but a cheap imitation nonetheless. It's because they're attracted to the sizzle. But, we all know that the sizzle fades quickly in the NFL.
