Todays game was exactly how we need to play from here on out. No turnovers equals wins for this team. Take the check downs and let the defense work. Even when we were in the red zone handing off over and over it was a win by the head coach. The only chance the Jets had to comeback was if Dak self imploded and turned the ball over.

Dak was very good to excellent today outside of a few throws when you consider the opponent and that Cooks was out. He barely put the ball in danger outside of two throws that I can remember and converted a bunch of 3rd downs, some of which were 8-10+.

My only complaint was the play-calling once we got down to the 1 on the first drive of the 3rd quarter and the drive after the Parsons fumble, although that didn't have much to do Dak.

Once it got to 24-10 they weren't even trying to score TD's anymore, they just wanted to run the clock and kick FG's because I'm not sure the Jets could've scored 30 against us if you gave them 8 quarters.

Under the radar but the run defense was very good today.
Had to check. Hall has 4 tries for 9 yards. That is absurd. He’s a killer and just never got going. I guess that’s the beauty of having an offense and defense that can make an opposing offense one dimensional quick.

I think the bigger thing that is showing up is our lack of skill talent.
I think Cooks is legit. But without him Tolbert looked better than Gallup. That's not a good sign for the supposed bounce back year for Gallup. We need Cooks back. Lamb was awesome but we need more. The good news is I think we have 3 RBs who are really good at catching the ball.

These were my main complaints as well. I didn’t expect us to sling it around every series but the cutesy play calling at the one and the 3 & out after the turnover didn’t make me very happy.

The play calling down there on the one was Kellenesque, and there is no excuse for it. We took points off the board on ourselves.
I think we all know they weren't going to score much if any more no matter the time frame. When they got down, the INT's started coming and we man handled their offense.
I agree the Jets defense did a commendable job from start to finish. They are absolutely no joke. I love this win because people can't look at it and say "well it was the GIants". This was a good team even without Rogers douchey ass behind the center.

There's basically nothing to complain about in this game, we were down our WR2 and a starting OL (and eventually his backup) against a top 3-5 defense and generally controlled the flow of the game from start to finish.

Like yea, some situational play calling here and a poor throw or two from Dak there, but that happens every week.

If not for the flukey Wilson TD this would've been a second epic ass whipping in a row, and arguably was in the first place.

I’d argue it was an ass whipping. And no point in the second half were we even tested. The defense was insane.

I remember when one starting OL went out and the team could barely run plays. Now we get down to our third stringer who's an undrafted rookie and it's like, ho-hum.

Yeah its nice to see backups look capable. We also have a quick passing attack that can neutralize pressure.

These kind of victories with methodical drives are good for us in the playoffs.

Previous years, when we weren't hitting the big plays in playoff games, we'd get ansy.

Exactly. I was watching some of the drives, and I was expecting to see some bullshit trick play, at any moment.
I truly believe we fans have been abused. lol
This shit was glorious. Obviously there are always things to pick a part and bemoan, but honestly, previous versions of this team would not have won this game. I am thrilled to see this team progressing the direction they are.

Whatta jump play Tyreek Hill vs Christian Gonzalez for the INT. Tyreek Hill would've had that at the peak of his leap

I'm not a fan of propaganda. Sue me. I look forward to a game where Dak is not incidental to the victory.
I don’t like Dak at all. The start of this year hasn’t given me much of anything to complain about where Dak is concerned. He’s been careful. He’s missed some throws, but he’s not turned the ball over.

He can live for now.

Piece of cake just like I said.

A Nathaniel Hackett/Zach Wilson offense was never going to beat our defense for 60 minutes.

I didn't mind the somewhat conservative approach McCarthy took when they were in the red zone and holding a 24-10 lead. I'm willing to bet that his mindset was to just burn clock and walk away with at least 3 points

It's pretty clear he's not worried about putting up flashy fantasy football stats. Playing smart, complimentary football is the top priority. And damnit, it's refreshing to see this approach finally make it's way back to Dallas.
I’ll take wins that look like this over the flashy close games we too often had with Romo and now with Dak.

It’s very hard not to homer out right now. I know it’s just 2 games but this defense is just amazing to watch! Plus Dak really does look improved with McCarthy in his ear.

if I were to nitpick anything, I would just like to see Dak run it on some of those handoffs to Pollard. When he hands it off and fakes a run, he just looks so open! Of course I am likely underestimating defenses and thinking they can be fooled by a fake handoff and a run by Dak.

I would also like some better play calling at the goal line. That cutesy shit really pissed me off probably more than it should have.

a goal line back would be awfully nice as well.
Twice at the goal line the ball carrier missed cutting inside that would have scored. Hendershot was the one. Don’t recall who the other was. Same series.

Just finished the game.

The run game concerns me a little. Not sure if it's the playcalling, the sporadic attempts, or just need a bigger back. It just seemed off somehow. More than it just being against a good Dline. So just a minor concern for the time being.
