you're assuming they could have scored touchdowns and not field goals had they chosen to be more aggressive, but I disagree. they tried earlier and failed.
They did? Two of the first three scoring drives ended with TDs. They went into the half with an 8 pt lead, then came out in the 2nd half and the defense shut them down immediately, then the offense kicked another FG to go up by 11. Still, that's a 50% TD/FG in 4 drives. At that point, it was pretty easy to see that our D was controlling them, and we didn't need to jam the accelerator on offense to the floor. Our defense pitched a shutout in the second half with the Jets trying to play catchup. Our offense playing close to the vest went hand in hand with helping them to do that. Play the clock and field position. Take pts as they come. And we did.

Yet it upsets people like you. BFD. The next time you have an actual semi-intelligent football point to make will be the first time. Maybe stick with critiquing the color of uniforms. That seems to be more in your wheelhouse.

You're nuts, dude. The running game was stymied, and the passing game carried most of the load offensively. No turnovers. 30 points against a top defense. If Dak was incidental, then my name is Cletus and I live with my cousin-wife in Arkansas.
I’m sure she’s a good cook.

That's a really good point. The real handicap today was the running game. That needs to get better. Dak was good despite getting very little help from the RBs.
And that's something he's struggled with most of his career. The fact that he was able to lead the offense to 30 points without the support of the running game is actually extremely impressive.

You're concentrating too much on when the game was finally out of hand, whereas I'm looking at the game in its totality. No TDs in the second half, and at least two field goals were set up by field position delivered by the defense, not methodical marches by the offense. This worked against the Wilson-led Jets, but we have more formidable obstacles down the road. And the day you have an opinion about the team that isn't a critique of someone else's opinion will also be a first.

Gonzalez should've lit up Tyreek Hill. Jar the ball loose and it might not be called a TD. Even if a penalty for late hit, not too much benefit for Dolphins either way

Correct.

31/38 260 yds 2 TDs 0 INT against arguably the best secondary in the league.

And there are idiots saying Dak had a poor game? :lol Please.

Damn good game. Took what the D gave and protected the ball. I have no complaints other than some of the goal line play calling which has been mentioned.

That's the most encouraging thing to me.

We did use the RBs well in the passing game though. 11 passes to the RBs, pretty impressive. All 3 backs caught a pass. And those plays than set up that nice pass to Lamb. Props to the Jets, they played the run well and they tackled extremely well. Seemed like anytime they hit one of our guys they made the tackle on the spot.

I'm hoping that the return of Tyler Smith opens up the run game more. 44 rushing attempts is great but 134 yards out of it is not so great.

While overall Yards per Play wasn't good, the fact we were still sustaining drives means we weren't getting penalties. That in of itself is a biggie.
