Eh he is a good player. But he isn't meant to be the only weapon in an offense. He isn't that caliber of receiver.
But literally, beyond Lamb we may have the worst receiver Corp in the NFL right this second.
Exactly.
He's a good player and he's very talented.
He absolutely is a starting NFL receiver, he's just meant to be the #2 guy.
The bigger issue is the fact that we took that #1 away and we haven't compensated for that by at least putting a good, creative mind in charge of the offense.
I mean, it's quite pathetic when you think about it but as far as I'm concerned, there are only two seasons since 2010 where I felt like the Cowboys were legitimately well coached on the offensive side of the football and that was in 2014 and 2016.
I always thought Scott Linehan was a better coach than he was given credit for here. People tend to forget that while he was the "playcaller" and the guy tasked with adding new wrinkles to the offense, he still had to do both within the confines of a Jason Garrett system that was stale as shit and super predictable.
Outside of those 2 years, our offensive coaching has left a lot to be desired.
