This sets up too perfectly. Rush is coming off a bad game, now Dak gets to return and look good against the worst defense in the league.
The perfect game to come back from injury.Honestly I am glad they are challenging him. I don’t worry about a set back. It was clear Prescott was mentally off in the opener. If he can’t process better and maintain footwork, that is the tell. The Lions have a very mediocre defense. If he struggles, maybe he isn’t the franchise player everyone says he is.
Right, so I'd rather he at least take the #1 reps for at least a week. The knock on him is that he can't beat good teams. Winning Sunday proves nothing.
Get ready for the hype train! This sets up too perfectly. Rush is coming off a bad game, now Dak gets to return and look good against the worst defense in the league.
I think that’s possible, but it’s also possible he looks mediocre or not so great. This sets up too perfectly. Rush is coming off a bad game, now Dak gets to return and look good against the worst defense in the league.
He was practicing on a "limited" basis last week, so it's not like he just rejoined practice this week.Right, so I'd rather he at least take the #1 reps for at least a week.
What did he get, two padded practices?
Seems forced and desperate, and there is no reason to be...lots of season left.
Considering the opponent, you could make the case that Rush should get one more start, but if they say Dak's ready to go ...Right, so I'd rather he at least take the #1 reps for at least a week.

This is the way I'm leaning.Considering the opponent, you could make the case that Rush should get one more start, but if they say Dak's ready to go ...
Steele had like 4 penalties in that game and we ran two trick plays on the first drive, I think the entire offense was completely out of sorts so I'll give Dak a pass for now. This is the way I'm leaning.
Game 1 ruined my trust in Dak's mental preparation, and now he's coming off injury with very little time to get game speed reps.

I'd give him about 4 games to come back from the injury before truly judging him in the context of how we played without him.
I view it on a continuum as well. It’s not isolated, just consider the playoff game vs SF and the opener vs TB as literally two games in succession, and it’s not a pretty picture for Dak . Big money demands big performance.I don't give Dak that kind of benefit of the doubt because he was playing this way for the latter half of last season any time he was challenged. This year's season opener wasn't a one off, and he needs to be better. Hopefully with this defense and if we can muster a running game we won't need to rely on Dak so much.
True that it wasn't just Dak who had the first game jitters.Steele had like 4 penalties in that game and we ran two trick plays on the first drive, I think the entire offense was completely out of sorts so I'll give Dak a pass for now.

We play a worse team (Bears) the following week. I think that would've been ideal. Give him one more week to heal.I think the opposite, considering the opponent, this is the perfect time to bring Dak back when there's margin for error while he gets reacclimated.
If the medical guys think he is good, and so does he and the staff, what is the big deal? If he is ready, go. Thinking next week is better simply because of the opponent should not enter into the conversation. We play a worse team (Bears) the following week. I think that would've been ideal. Give him one more week to heal.
