Well you should have had no hope to begin with. Sit there, go ahead, get mad. But nothing is ever changing, even when he is dead.
I actually look forward to the day Spaulding takes over. That's how far I've sunk.

Now y'all see why I hope for the slim chance that another franchise can once again enter the Dallas market. Dont forget that the Dallas Texans once played to the same crowd, in the same town.

Bob's right, unfortunately.
Probably, and this is why I think Payton could be so valuable. He's one of the few who I think can tell Jerry to fuck off on something and he'll actually do it.

It's also a reason why I still greatly prefer Stephen to Jerry.

Stephen may be a cheap fuck who has no idea how to prioritize winning but I highly doubt he'll be playing games like this, mandating that coaches do certain things with X or Y coordinator, once Jerry is gone.

No chance.

It's Broaddus and he's a moron, but he said in the postgame show he didn't think Payton would work here precisely because he would upset everything and BB didn't think Stephen and Will would accept that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were true because everyone involved in this organization is too comfortable with going along to get along, as long as they can maintain their position/salary/influence, McClay included.

There's a reason McClay doesn't want to leave, he can more or less be the de facto GM as far as the draft is involved, with no absolutely no risk of losing his job.

I think the biggest hurdle is if Jerry would pay that salary that Payton will command, and I don't think he would.

Results are a secondary concern, as always.

I remember when Switzer won the super bowl and (referring to him and Jerry) yelled, "We did it our way, baby!", and idiot younger me pumped my fist watching it live. Idiot younger me said, "Fuck yeah we did."

Little did idiot younger me understand what a curse wanting to do things their way, at literally all costs, would be.

I agree with that also.

If the past predicts the future, I suspect we get Quinn promoted and that's it, because Jerry is already paying him.

If the offense really tanks, maybe Jerry gives Moore the old "You need to look for another job" order so he can get a new OC without having to pay Kellen not to coach.
