Prescott overthrowing Gallup by a mile,
What a huge miss that was.
Prescott overthrowing Gallup by a mile,
I've kinda always thought they were the latter. Not good enough on defense. And not Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady on offense. Very good but when you have to have it in crunch time, need the miracle pulled out of your ass, when the rest of the team needs YOU to deliver because they are getting whipped? I don't have that confidence in Dak.Right.
It will suck to have been sucked in to the hype in recent weeks only for them to be the same sort of good team we've seen them be 4 or 5 times already since 2009.
There's time left for sure, but right now my gut tells me they're more like those teams than a special team like we were starting to think.
Wasn't this the first game that KC had their defense all back together? On the road too. In a nutshell it's not so concerning and again, if you are going to lose, on the road, out of conference is the game to lose.
But on the flip side that's also two out of three weeks getting kinda manhandled. Things are not trending well for a team that we thought.... might be a contender? There are glaring reasons for not looking so hot that go beyond the key pieces being out. Yes Cooper was out, but what does that have to do with Prescott overthrowing Gallup by a mile, etc? And this is his second very poor day in three weeks as well. Is he still banged up?
Well, down 2 will really eliminate any team's depth.whoever said we have great depth at WR was wrong.
Was it McGovern who fell victim to Chris Jones arse rape? Or Biadasz? Or both?
I don't think it would represent much progress over the last decade or so. Progress would be accomplishing second round playoff exit status in back to back years.... which they still haven't done.
Neither he nor Wilson could catch a cold yesterday.Well, down 2 will really eliminate any team's depth.
But whoever said Noah Brown needs to continue making this team was wrong.

The Ticket guys were asking this, is it possible that his calf is bothering him? That's two of three games since he hurt it that he's been bad. Maybe the ATL game got so out of hand so fast it didn't matter in that one.And this is his second very poor day in three weeks as well. Is he still banged up?
It's not forever ago in relation to 2016 though. Lot of the same characters here from then - Prescott, Elliott, Smith, Martin, Collins, D-Law, Gregory, Anthony Brown. We're not building off of 2011 or whatever. That would be like saying it's not progress over 1995. It was forever ago and the team is entirely different.
Making the playoffs would certainly be progress over the last couple years. The question would then be whether we can progress beyond that next season. That would be the crucible moment.
Yea, the agenda is clear but whatever happened under Garrett isn't the measuring stick. We haven't been in the playoffs since 2018, including a completely preposterous 2019 when we were immaculately healthy, and this is McCarthy's first season with some semblance of health. We're not building off of 2011 or whatever. That would be like saying it's not progress over 1995. It was forever ago and the team is entirely different.

Let's see if boy genius can scheme these guys open since I've heard that is so easy to do.
Chris Jones is also pretty damn good.Good question but to be fair he even beat Martin. He's really good.
If you can get consistent pressure, often times with only rushing 4-5, that's a "blueprint" for beating any QB. I don't think the coverage played by the Broncos/Chiefs is so much the blueprint as it is the consistent and immediate pressure that they got. They swore up and down it wasn't a blueprint.
Sure seems like it.
I don't want to call our WR's soft but I think they're definitely more on the finesse side. I don't think any of them really love playing outdoors in the elements either.
It absolutely fricking is when you are talking about the same starting QB and the same bell-cow feature RB and practically the same OL.Yea, the agenda is clear but whatever happened under Garrett isn't the measuring stick.

Even more if you fast forward to 2018 - Add Cooper, Gallup, Noah Brown, Jarwin and Schultz all to the mix on offense, granted many of them younger, but still here. On defense, Jourdan Lewis, LVE, Dorance Armstrong. It's actually a surprising amount of holdover, like 30% of the roster, which from 3 years ago? That's basically the same core.
That cast making the second round and bowing out again wouldn't really be progress. It would be the same guys plateauing as a second round team again. Even if that's their ceiling, at least call me when they can do it two years in a row, that's progress.
