Barton would've likely been my pick if they hadn't traded down but ultimately the trade down netted Beebe who I think is roughly just as good as Barton, so in that way Guyton is sort of a free play.

You got links or tweets or something? It wouldn't be surprising in either case, especially Tyler since his agent was just at camp.

They're extremely insular and like an island unto themselves. The contract negotiations are basically handled by nobody but Stephen and some dipshit waiter who has been around for 20 years because he went to the same frat as Stephen, of course they're going to be delusional about their own...

It'd be nice if he could be a Doug Free-level player. I have no clue if it'll happen or not but I think we'll have a pretty good idea based on the next month of TC/preseason. The main thing with him is he has great length to go with really good size/bulk. Guyton weighs nearly as much as he does...

That's why I think they might be able to get away with him at LT in this scheme, I think Riley and Adams are going to be focused on moving the LOS in the run game as the top priority and then they'll work around the rest as needed.

Yea I thought he's a guy they'd probably keep as a backup at OG and RT, LT wasn't on my radar because I thought he was an RT in college, but once I saw him getting so many reps as an LT with the 2's I went back and realized it was LT that he played in college. They've kept schlubs like Ball and...

Yep, doesn't surprise me at all based on what I've seen from the (limited) practice videos they've been posting, combined with the fact that he actually has extensive LT experience and ideal size. He seems like a guy who fits well with what Riley and Adams want to do schematically. I wouldn't...

I also worry about this in a scheme like Eberflus' that historically doesn't have much disguise or variety. Maybe he's added some wrinkles, but if we could get a huge haul (two 1's, a 2 and 3) I'd definitely consider it, especially since Ezeiruaku is another undersized guy.

And then handing out the same contract they could've agreed to months beforehand anyway.

Yea I remember at some point in the last year or so this joker implied he'd be just fine on something around 30/year. Between him and Dak you got two of the biggest liars imaginable, I'd respect them more if they just came out and said they want to maximize their contracts as much as possible.

It's either going to get done in the next 4 weeks or they're going to franchise him next year and probably drag shit out until maybe this time next year. The only thing giving me pause compared to something like Lamb is that it seems like there could be something personal going on, like...

I think Nathan Thomas might actually be the guy who has the potential to "shock" the world or whatever this moron calls it. Unlike Guyton he actually played extensively at LT in college, he also has nearly ideal size at 6-5, 332 with 33.75 inch arms, and he's seemingly at least neck and neck...

I get that, although she's pretty much the only player who has mass appeal and the league is trying to raise its profile/garner more attention with her as the player the general public pays attention to. I don't think the league or anybody else has more of a vested interest than that, and you'd...

I haven't seen him take any reps at LT so far, and I think he may have only played at RT in the past. If they aren't going to move Smith I'd rather roll with Thomas or Richards, especially since it's only going to be a game or two.

    2025 Training Camp Thread…

It's nice that he's not out for the year because of the potential he has if he develops, but ultimately I'd still strongly consider moving Tyler to LT since Guyton could easily miss the first 2-3 games of the year, and could be shitty even if he does only miss minimal time. If whatever...

Agreed, the biggest issue is whether they have the balls to play Smith at LT. I don't think there's much difference between Guyton at LT and Smith at LG vs. Smith at LT and Richards, Thomas or Bass at LG.

That's crazy, I thought it might've been a high ankle or MCL or something. I don't feel like there's much of a drop off from him to someone like Richards at the moment though, the big opportunity cost is how much Guyton could've improved in camp and preseason. It'll be very interesting to see...

Given how Stephen is strutting about talking about extensions I'm half expecting them to extend Tyler, Bland and maybe Aubrey or something over the next 2-3 weeks while Parsons is still hanging around.

Booker is like the definition of NFL-ready as far as prospects are concerned, I'm not worried about him at all. There will be growing pains of course but there's no chance he'd get beaten out by anybody on the roster at RG, and that includes Jones if he was healthy.

I think he's going to make the team and be a pseudo-TE.
