    2025 Training Camp Thread…

The only thing that gives me pause is that Micah is a loose cannon and Jerry/Stephen are prone to getting butthurt and being spiteful. I could see things spinning out of control if Micah continues to lash out and Jerry/Stephen feeling like trust is broken, because it seems obvious that he's not...

Is this part of some sort of multi-year plan to slow drip tidbits heavily implying his...situation, without actually ever saying it?

I don't feel bad for them, I just think the way this organization operates is the opposite of a professional, buttoned up approach. All I care about is them being efficient and effective when it comes to extending players, if that means having a conversation with a pack of squirrels on the 12th...

I think this is his general stance on most/all players.

Dez has basically said this is what they do multiple times. I think Jerry or Stephen said recently they basically worked out Martin's first deal directly with him back in 2016 or whatever. It's pretty obvious this is their MO.

The QB situation is why I could very easily argue that trading him is the right course of action. I wouldn't advocate for it necessarily since he's so good, but it might just be the right timing given how things have played out with Dak. The biggest thing is the fact that Dak probably shouldn't...

It's hard to say, I'm sure Parsons would be happy to take a 4-year deal averaging 42, but the throughline here is the team manages its contracts like a bunch of amateurs and they finally pissed off a guy who doesn't have a filter, so here we are. I have no doubt that this isn't too dissimilar...

Agreed, it's all such pointless nonsense. Gaslighting even.

I don't think he is necessarily, and the fact that he's still screwing around at camp tells me that. If he was truly fed up he'd pay the fines and leave. I'm thinking Stephen is such a prude that he's going to feel like the bridge is burned.

And risk having their access revoked? Sports media in particular is all bought and paid for these days, they're mouthpieces at best.

Making a trade request is one thing, publicly airing out dirty laundry is something else, and it's why if I had to bet right now, I'd bet on him being traded. If it was just a silent trade request, whatever, that happens all the time, but personally posting something like this breaks trust. If...

Do you know how much you can get on a 3.5% fixed rate CD with the $120M guaranteed that they'd have to give Parsons?

One of the funny things is that it's been like a week since they reported to camp, feels like Micah has really worked himself into a shoot with this stuff, even if the organization is completely absurd. If he had just kept his distance I doubt he'd be as emotional as he is now.

The only bad scenarios here are: 1. Trading him for peanuts (i.e. anything less than the equivalent of two 1's and change) 2. Giving him an outlandish extension around 45+ per year Just figure out anything else, although knowing these fools they'll probably work themselves into one of those two.

    2025 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread

Yea, my issue isn't so much the idea of trading him or not, it's the fact that this organization operates like a grotesque caricature of a very stupid, closedminded inbred family business. If they made a strategic decision to trade Parsons, fine. If they decided to extend him, fine. But...

It really is insane how incompetent these fools are. It's shocking that they manage to draft so well, but I'm guessing that's because Stephen has largely offloaded that and mainly just keeps Jerry on the sidelines.
