His agents is a real asshole with the Cowboys.
I'm of the opinion that the Cowboys and Prescott have more of a business/transactional relationship than what they try to portray to the public. I don't think the two sides are as friendly with each other as they want everyone to believe. I think there's some friction there. Not a lot but enough that prevents Dak and his agent from fully trusting the Joneses.

Here are a couple of examples that make me think this. I seem to remember a couple of instances where Jerry's made public comments that could be construed as criticism towards Dak. Also, the Joneses are constantly trying to place the blame on Dak and his contract for their inability to improve the roster via free agency. Which basically paints Dak as the bad guy who is holding the Cowboys back.

I could see how stuff like that would irritate Dak and his camp.

Without a doubt. Dak's team understands they have leverage and they use it.

Not hostile, but definitely not pals, either

Dak's agent is pretty cut throat when it comes to Dak. Dak pretends like he just sort of stays out of it. Who knows if that is true or not but that's kind of how it plays out.

Dak is full of shit, if he told his agent he'd be happy to take 20% less to make the team better the agent would do it. This is just his way of having plausible deniability when he inevitably doesn't live up to whatever deal he gets.

Oh I agree, it's why I said he pretends to not really know.

Problem is, taking 20% less wouldn't make the team better. Nothing makes the team better with the Clampetts in charge. So why bother?

The problem with Dak is that you have to surround him with so many pieces. The cowboys are great at drafting but so are the Eagles and 49ers. You cant have a QB with the highest cap hit in the league and a front office that consistently steps on their own toes.
