Ascending player? Based on what exactly?
Yeah last year was a giant turd. He should be hitting his prime and instead he basically was a waste of space. Not sure what happened with the guy but clearly there was something that went wrong because he went in the very wrong direction. I don't care if we bring him to camp or not but we could save almost 3 mil against the cap by cutting him. That might not sound like much but I'm not sure the guy makes my roster anyway. I wish we would have kept Ridgeway instead of him. Which just shows you don't hang on to turds like this and cut young players.

Sounds like boozimore is on the trade block.

5-8 for sure
I’m not sure. I’d have felt a lot more confident if he had looked like the QB we had pre-leg injury. I don’t know if he’s a guy who can stand in the pocket and be effective- he’s gotta use his legs and when he does he’s actually a better QB.

I prefer the 6'6" 315 pound type DTs who are athletic. But when I watched Kancey, I realized it's not that important to me.
The chance the guy is an AD clone is little to none. Donald is a generational player who we may never see again. But if Kancey is even 80% of AD he’d be the best NT we’ve had in eons.

I mean ultimately it didn't really matter. Actually in hindsight I'm glad we didn't burn Pollard up with more carries during the regular season. Ultimately the season ends the same if Pollard gets hurt against the 49ers which he did. So no harm no foul. What we should do though is make sure that our other back in the tandem isn't a slow plodding turd. Which is why we absolutely need to draft a RB. Nothing against Malik Davis, I kind of like him. But we need 3 RBs if you're not going to have one workhorse like Zeke was earlier in his career. Odds are someone is going to get hurt, so you need 3 guys to split carries when that one guy gets hurt.

That’s the whole thing- I believe just about every team in the playoffs had 2 interchangeable RBs who could keep the running game going-and fresh-which is what McCarthy is wanting to do. Teams like the Eagles and SF had 3 RBs.
Yeah, Dallas had 2, but Zeke wasn’t a threat except at the goal line, so I don’t include him in the conversation.
Dallas absolutely needs another 1-2 RBs to run the offense McCarthy wants to run. I don’t believe for a second McCarthy sits in a meeting and tells Jones that Zeke is fine and there’s no need for another 1-2 RBs on the roster. He’s seeing the same thing EVERYONE else sees.
