There is a spin-off series called “this is what happens when you draft too well”.

I agree. Running Wright and Joseph out there was pretty brutal. Mukuamu seemed to settle things down when he got in there and they much better again.

A better secondary would certainly help next year. We can't just ignore it.
I think depth at safety has them ready to say goodbye to Wilson.

What I don’t understand is why we draft CB in the first two rounds so often yet never even think of drafting DT’s unless we are totally desperate and reach for the Hill’s of the world.

I think the success CB’s can have as rookies satisfies Jerry’s impatient nature. You can not only immediately improve your team, you can also cover weaknesses elsewhere on certain kinds of plays, like with RB on offense.

Investing a high pick in a DT who history says will likely only flash talent his first year is really tough for a GM-fanboy. But that is exactly how Super Bowl-caliber defenses are formed.

He basically forgot about Casillas, Maryland, Lett, and Hennings or how two of those players were #1 and #2 overall draft picks.

Nope you’ll get an occasional Neville Gallimore or Maliek Collins and like it.

:lol

Jesus Christ.

I just have to laugh.

I cannot even devote the energy to getting mad because everything they ever fucking say is so predictable.
And it’s why so many of us laugh and say there’s zero chance at a SB while this clown is alive. It’s a rancid mindset that has infected the entire organization.
Jones will talk and tease about making big changes, but when it comes right down to it he’ll say the cap keeps them from being players in FA, all the while resigning over the hill guys like Zeke because he’s emotionally attached to the players.
What a joke.

LMAO. Fucker can barely string a thought together but even worse he must be the only guy alive who still thinks Zeke is or will be a productive RB. A real GM realizes Zeke is done and replaces him with 1-2 RBs in the draft or even FA if you have to.

He's not wrong, though. You get a QB and pay market price then you have to give up at other positions. Just have to get better at drafting and player development while you have them.

Grrr, Ed.
If the whole Dallas media turned on Jones and went after him with stuff like Werder posted, you’d see Jerry red faced and defensive. Might not change anything but holy shit would it be fun to watch.
Instead you have a bunch of little “team reporters” pussyfooting around Jerry listening to retarded chatter and throwing out softball questions so they can sit in big leather chairs, drink free alcohol and party on the yacht.

True.

So when Dak was on the cheap contract, did Jerry not put the team around him? Or did he, but his horrendous family friend project coach was too incompetent to do anything with them?

Either way it's his fault.

And the problem now isn't Dak's deal, it's other terrible ones like the Zeke one, which has to be one of the worst in the league.

I'm not saying he isn't at fault for taking advantage of the situation when he had the opportunity. Just that the situation that all teams are in now.

Just wait until we fit Parsons in there as well.

Totally agree. The sweet spot years were wasted.

Really the only reason we haven't dropped way off the last few years is we've drafted very well and our coaching is much improved.

Also, those clips of Jerry (on the bangbus?) show a man descending even further into madness. In the one he spends over a minute telling us that this is real and not make-believe.

WTF, man.

Along with other contacts if everything works out like you want it to. Not to mention Dak will still get his.

It's actually why I either extend Dak now or I start making plans to move on. Waiting 2 years and then working out an extension would be the same dumb mistake again. 2 years from now guys like him will be pulling 50 plus a year average.

I can't imagine more than two more years of knowing/not knowing if he's the guy. That'll be nine years of him at QB.
