They're maxing out at 10 wins next year, you can take that to the bank.
Yeah I don't think they will repeat as NFC Champs. Not even convinced they repeat as NFC East Champs. Hell the history of the NFC East tells us they won't. But while I think they fall back, I'm sure they will rebuild again quickly. The Eagles are like a cock roach, they may disappear for a bit but they will be back shortly.

They won't win the division next year.

I think it was Sean Payton. If you consider him a coordinator. We didn't have an official OC in 2005. Payton was Assistant Head Coach. And Eberflus left us to be D coordinator in Indy, and then became HC in Chicago. It's been a long damn time.

We've had other guys also, though not directly like Sparano, Haley, and Bowles.

Neither do I. And honestly it's not really a lateral move.

Even if you remove quality of coaches and players from the equation, going to that toxic, dysfunctional franchise would be a significant step backwards.
I agree. But maybe he’s thinking if he gets that mess straightened out, it will enhance his chances at a HC job. For some reason, that seems to have fizzled out the last couple years. Not sure if he’s a bad interview or what.

It'd be a terrible move for him. Not only do the Skins have little to no offensive talent outside of WR, it's also likely that they're going to be sold soon and the new owner cleans house after next season.

Maybe he's hoping that he can convince the new owner to just make him the new HC if he can cobble together something with Howell?

Seems like a longshot.

I guess if he can make that offense really good than he will get an NFL head coaching job. Hopefully Andy Reid is keeping a spot for him when he flames out though. Truth is the guy will never get his shot while staying under Andy Reid. But is that all really that bad? You have basically unlimited job security. And maybe someone takes a shot on you eventually. Isn't that better than about as high risk of a chance as you can possibly take with the Skins?
