Exactly. What are some going to do, say I won't allow myself to be happy until the final gun goes off at the Superbowl and we've won? But nothing until then? I don't understand that. It's football. It's the shortest season and fewest number of games of any major pro sport. The team played to its potential and beat the GOAT who was mocking them. Some need to release the cynicism for a few days and enjoy it.

Well one, I'm not embarrassed , except in keeping that last fraud coach as long as they did. (Not taking a shot at you with that. honestly.)

But two, the first step in being a team like Baltimore is making the playoffs consistently so that eventually you get good draws and good health and good matchups where you can advance. And this team is making that step.

25 wins in 2 years should be sufficient to resume a normal level of expectation, where winning is rewarded and not met with skepticism.

Of course not -- that's always the challenge in Dallas.

But he has accomplished more than any coach under Jerry Jones not named Jimmy Johnson or Bill Parcells.

Yes, I know Barry Switzer won a SB but I give him zero credit for that.

Every other coach has been average at best, and not all of that was their fault, but still.....the point is that the culture in Dallas makes it extremely difficult, maybe even impossible, to win big. And yet despite that, Mike McCarthy has accomplished something that a lot of us didn't think was possible.

So am I ready to put us in the Super Bowl? No.

But I do think this is the most legitimate chance we've had at real success in really really really long time, and that is thanks to the incredible job Mike McCarthy has done.

I definitely feel better about the future when I see the Cowboys play like they did last night. Prepared, they executed, the playcalling was spot on, and adjustments were made thruout the game. That’s good coaching.
Unfortunately, we’ve also had the exact opposite under McCarthy at times. I’m just hoping he’s found the right buttons to push. I’ve gotten to the point with the Cowboys where I’m not totally upset if they lose if they play like I know they’re capable of playing. We know they are streaky and can be up and down-coaching can really make that tendency work in a positive way if you have a really good coach.
The wildcard is Jerry. If they fall short and lose to SF, I’d expect Jerry to keep the guys who have turned things around, ditch guys like Elliott, and grab some good players in the draft. Then, target a couple big difference makers in FA. WR, NT, CB, DE. Add to a team that won its first road playoff win in 30 fucking YEARS. That’s how you compete for a SB.
Of course…we KNOW what Jerry normally does….the cap OMG.

Man, I’m one of the most negative people here on the boards sometimes and even I’m enjoying the hell outta beating that fag Brady. Especially after listening to all the

Exactly, and in most years we'd have been a top 2-3 seed, if not the 1 seed, with HFA for at least a round or two.

If we can continue into next year with another 12 wins or so I think it's very likely that we'll be in that position and better situated to make a deep run, even if we get bounced against SF.

As a Dak fan I want to be fair. His footwaork is still lacking. He throws off his back foot still too much. He gets happy feet in the pocket. Sometimes he freezes when pressure is coming quickly.

He is so much better on the run. Very similar to Romo in that way.

Don't make him a pocket passer. He will never truly be that. Let him (dare I say) be a little kid out there.

Good to see them getting on the same page and improving on that.

Yep, that was my favorite throw (and catch) of the game. Big time right there on both ends.
