Don't be miserable. We might have ended Brady's career last night.I can't really enjoy it.
I always thought back to back playoff appearances was not just possible but likely with McCarthy.Of course not -- that's always the challenge in Dallas.
But he has accomplished more than any coach under Jerry Jones not named Jimmy Johnson or Bill Parcells.
Yes, I know Barry Switzer won a SB but I give him zero credit for that.
Every other coach has been average at best, and not all of that was their fault, but still.....the point is that the culture in Dallas makes it extremely difficult, maybe even impossible, to win big. And yet despite that, Mike McCarthy has accomplished something that a lot of us didn't think was possible.
So am I ready to put us in the Super Bowl? No.
But I do think this is the most legitimate chance we've had at real success in really really really long time, and that is thanks to the incredible job Mike McCarthy has done.
I said it a few weeks ago but a really forward-thinking front office would try to extend Dak this offseason. Maybe after all the INT's and nonsense talk he'd be happy to lock in another 4-5 years at $40+ per year and another $150 million guaranteed.
Just enjoy the win. All that other stuff is out of our hands so celebrate while you can.I always thought back to back playoff appearances was not just possible but likely with McCarthy.
Garrett, an inferior coach to McCarthy, was only an injured QB away from doing it or even appearing like 4 straight. Yeah, now McCarthy has done it DESPITE having an injured QB, so again, not debating, McCarthy is the superior coach (not that I needed to see Cooper Rush go 4-1 to prove that to me).
The hump that needs getting over is this round.
And even that.... I dunno, I'm getting jaded as I get older. Call me when you're in the Super Bowl.
Hated Eli the player, but he's great on their show.
I know Eli was a douchnozzle while playing but from the clips that I've seen he is pretty funny.
what we have to acknowledge is the step by step improvement over the course of MM's tenure. Even more impressive (in my mind... /jerry) after the long and painful tenure of Garrett being so recent. This team has made winning strides not seen in over half of some of you guys' lifetimes. Lets see if he can finish the job.Of course not -- that's always the challenge in Dallas.

only the beginning
Yes, thank you!Just enjoy the win. All that other stuff is out of our hands so celebrate while you can.
Take out the three pass attempts (all incompletions) from the first two drives and Dak Prescott was 25/30, 305 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT rest of the way.
I bet youre excited to see the coming game. Deep down inside, your inner child is feeling like Christmas morning and the Red Rider BB Gun is sitting there under the tree waiting for you.I can't really enjoy it.
Yeah, on one hand, playoff wins are few and far between these days. It's nice.
But once you have that big goose egg hanging up there in front of you in relation to Super Bowl wins for 30 years, or hell even Championship game wins/appearances, the wild card games don't mean quite as much.
