I am finally done. The house closes on Monday and it is done.

I have learned more about real estate in the last few months than I have accumulated my entire life.

Things have changed now from the last time I rented back in the early 1990s.

If you rent, you are lucky if you have a physical person landlord now.

Now it is all huge corporates scooping up real estate, outsourcing every damn thing from agent to maintenance and then you deal with their poor software application systems and it is about as frustrating as it can be.

And I don't give a shit if this sounds racist, but the majority of my time today was dealing with customer service professionals that reside in India.

The whole experience has been extremely annoying.

Hell no. The townhome I am renting for a year has vacant units all around. The properties are all owned by an outfit out of Atlanta and let me tell ya, it is run by rank amateurs. They have no agent on site, it is all electronic, including the doors with key pads only. The process is frustrating as shit but there is no shortage of homes where I am to rent or buy.

I thought rental prices were getting out of hand, and when you throw in terrible management practices it sounds like a pain in the ass.
