Guys, who's playing better, Tyler Smith or Evan Neal? Things to ponder...

And again, this site was bitching about Smith when we took him
I was unhappy that we all but broadcasted our first three picks ahead of time. Then the idea that we took someone known for having penalties when it was a trademark of our team last year. I did like his upside and I am glad he is working out well.

Are you sad that we're turning it around? Will Anderson is slipping away ...
Meh, Anderson was out the fucking window as soon as Maher knocked home that FG to beat the Bengals. The NFC is weak and with the defense playing like this we should be in the playoffs, might as well make the best of it.

I was a bigger fan than most, and definitely loved his upside, but I would've went Jermaine Johnson or Devin Lloyd. Although to be fair when we turned around and got Williams in the 2nd I said I would've rather had Smith/Williams than Johnson/Raimann or whatever other OT's went in that range.

Devin Lloyd looks like a certified stud too, although with Smith exceeding expectations I wouldn't give him up even for Lloyd.

And the special teams. Seem to have gotten better every year under Fassel. You know we're going to block a punt or two and Turpin is going to bust a couple. Coverage has been solid, too.

You win special teams and defense and the offense doesn't commit penalties we'll be in every game and win a lot. First game was an outlier.

I'm starting to agree, at least in terms of the offense.

I know people are having a good time throwing Dak under the bus and anointing Rush but it was far more than just Dak in that game. Moore was off the reservation calling double reverses on the first drive, Steele had like 3 false starts in one quarter, completely botching simple things like a bubble screen with Lamb bumping into Schultz, and so forth.

I think the offense, including Moore, just wasn't ready to play a regular season game after not doing anything real in preseason.
