I think ultimately supply and demand will decide who gets what.

Stupid teams like the Raiders, Jags, and Browns will always be willing to overpay, but not every team will

Corners are necessary pieces, but the difference in talent is not as great as that money would lead a person to believe.

A CB simply can't impact a defense over 17-21 games like a great pass rusher or DT can without getting interceptions-- and those change from year to year. You can't just conjure interceptions because you're being paid $20 million.

I get why Dallas drafts these guys every year (they are way fucked up over-priced).

Bottom line there are only so many dollars to be spread around on defense.

For example, during the Buc's great 2000's teams, how would you rank Derrick Brooks, Simeon Rice, Warren Sapp, Booger McFarland, John Lynch, and Rhonde Barber in terms of impacting the game?

Maybe that question is unfair, but IMO the guys in the secondary are productive because the front is awesome and not the reverse.

IMO, I should not be unable to pay Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice because I've paid Rhonde Barber gigantic money. I'm getting fractional value on every dollar I overspend on Barber

Diggs might be. But we have another year to decide and still we can try to get him to play slightly cheaper with the offer of doing the deal after 3 years in the NFL. Let's just try not to jerk him around and then pay him even more as a result.

And if it goes south at least get a first round pick for the dude.

This time last year, Diggs was focused on the 13 or so INTs he missed in the season prior.

I wanna see him be just as damn focused this year, but how could he after such an epic season?

I imagine teams will start to throw at him less too. When QBs have a rating of like 50 throwing at a guy they tend to not want to throw that direction. But who knows. I just know Diggs is really good and I'm hoping we may actually be a little better at FS this year. Kazee wasn't great at the deep coverage stuff. If Diggs can get a little help over the top he feasts.
