That’s what sucks.

I lived in Nevada for a good portion of my life, Vegas and Reno, and I loved it. Beautiful, plenty to do, clean. But for political reasons I can’t bring myself to leave Texas. The walls are closing in. Being here in Katy/Houston and raising a two year old son, I worry about crime and saturation of undesirables. The Houston D.A. routinely lets people with felony records out of jail for no reason whatsoever. But outside of a place like the Dakotas, which look beautiful, where am I supposed to go?

I just want to raise my family in peace and safety. In terms of America, it seems like i’m a few decades late to that party.

My best friend lives in Reno. Says all of Nevada is overrun with Californians.

As an aside, from that article:

This came after Michael Osterholm, a member of Biden’s coronavirus task force, said on MSNBC that we may need another national lockdown to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“In the first week of August, Neel Kashkari, the president of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank, and I wrote an op-ed piece in The New York Times that basically said we need to, in a sense, lockdown to drive this infection level to a place where we can actually control it with testing and tracing and follow-up that way, just like the Asian countries have done,” he said. “And I’m talking about everything from Australia to New Zealand, all the way right up through China, Japan. All of those countries have done it already.”

“To deal with the pain and suffering economically is what we basically proposed was because the savings rate in this country has gone out of the roof, since the pandemic,” Osterholm added. “He have gone from 8% to over 22%. We can borrow the money from ourselves at historically low-interest rates. We can pay people to lose their job. We can pay small business.”

How could you possibly look at what's happened in China and Australia and not think it's a horrifying violation of people's rights? How could you possibly want to bring that to America?

One, when did Neel Kashkari become an infectious disease expert? He's a finance guy.

Two, am I the only one who remembers the WHO advising against lockdowns? Shocked Twitter never "fact checks" that.

I want Twitter to burn to the ground. All of the Republican cucks who refuse to remove section 230 protections from these social media giants, they need to be primaried.

I’m completely banned for something that doesn’t violate any of their rules. It’s bullshit. They’re only allowing the democrat narrative to be voiced unless you have a blue check mark and a platform to fight back.

They want to bring all of that bullshit to America. Mainly because they hate America.
I don't think most democratic leaning folks hate America, in fact I think they love America and care about people of all genders, ethnicities, etc and economic situations (much like I think Republicans, independents, etc do as well) but are naive enough to actually believe the government can solve all the worlds problems. Plus abdicating all personal responsibility & heaping it on the government is convenient way to avoid actually doing anything themselves & feel superior & virtuous in the process.

Their motto should be "The road to hell paved with good intentions"

There are extremists from all sides that hate America & politicians that take advantage of the uneducated and poor for their own benefit but I believe most folks that make up the majority of the votes for the Democratic Party are primarily Republican haters and/or too ignorantly idealistic for their own good

it only works on morons. If you're slightly intelligent and can think for yourself, the tactics fail.
Yeah, but half (at least) the people in this country are morons. how do you think they keep getting re-elected?
