It looks way worse than it is right now because our QB is down, and almost the entire offensive line is down.

Assuming we'll have at least those things back in place next season, plus some free agency money and a load of draft picks, I don't see any reason why this team would be particularly far away from competing at a high level.
If the offensive players come back healthy, there's little reason why they shouldn't again post 35 points a game.

And if the defense can become even mediocre, they won't be allowing anywhere near that.

Add those things together, and things can improve quickly.

Granted, that is counting on everyone to return healthy and to the same level of play they've been at before.

With Tyron Smith's health history, I would certainly not count on that without a competent backup plan, better than what we have now.

Honestly I think we could get by with Brandon Knight at LT if everyone else is healthy. But that wouldn't be my gameplan. My hope is that Tyron can come back and give us 13 games as a starter again. And if he looks done then we need to address it and not start with the backup plan.

The problem is Knight isn't good enough at LT when your RT is getting killed every play, your LG gives up ground like it's going out of style and your RG is a decent but not great player in McGovern. To survive with a guy like Knight you need everything else really good.

Terrible nickname.

Just the Nooch. So that is what he should be called. Or his Noochness or Noocher or El Noocherino if we are not into the brevity thing.

Lawrence is playing hard, especially against the run. He just isn't getting to the QB like he used to.

I still believe in the offensive core for sure, now they just have to build the defense up to average (that goes for personnel and coaching) and they should be fine.

Chris Jones has a 2.4 million cap hit this year, 2.5 next year, luckily we can cut him and save 2 million against the cap while replacing him with some schlub making $700K.

Like Steve Buscemi in Armageddon...

I'm wondering how much of DiNucci is planning to go on a coke-infused, bottle-service, hooker-laden all-nighter on Saturday night instead of getting a good night's sleep.

You should never refuse to listen to a Herschel Walker trade scenario. Normal trades, like the Browns wanting Gallup for a 3rd, can take a hike but if someone were to offer us significant compensation for a player that we aren't built around then you have to at least listen.

There is literally nobody on this roster who would get a Herschel Walker package, mostly because no team is giving up that kind of draft capital for anything but a franchise QB.

I don't think there's anybody on our roster any team would offer 2 1's for, aside from Prescott. So long story short, there is no Herschel Walker trade scenario to even consider.

If a team gets the #1 pick but doesn't need a QB, it'll be interesting to see what they net in a trade. Three #1s and three #2s?
