I’d say slavery started this shit, but, semantics. Proceed.
Sure, slavery certainly was terrible and set back the black people a lot, but how many centuries have to go by before catching up isn't the responsibility of the government anymore?

Hell, my own ancestors were slaves just before America had slaves. I want to know where my reparations are.

For some they won't be happy until they rewrite history and make the US look worse than is actual facts so they can get reparations, just look at the 1619 project

:lol Calm down. I’m just saying. Slavery preceded affirmative action. Wasn’t like everything was hunky-dorey then affirmative action sprung onto the scene.

But since you brought up time, I’ll add that it hasn’t been one century yet since black folk have had the same legal rights as white folk. So, to answer your question, I don’t know how many centuries, but so far it’s less than one and counting.

And affirmative action is used still to discriminate against other races, look at how Harvard uses it against asians

Fuck, man, I’ve been donating to your goddamn site for years. How many years have to go by before catching up isn't the responsibility of us anymore?

Yeah, and slavery of the Irish preceded slavery of the Africans. I mean, if we are going this route of discussion.

Higher draft picks for teams whose players don't commit armed robbery.
