I think you are giving Garrett way too much credit.

Also, I don't think Scandrick's and Bryant's personalities magically transformed this year.

Now McClain, I do think his attitude probably helped.

But ultimately, the biggest difference this year is in coaching. Linehan and Marinelli did wonders for this team. Particularly having a balanced offense.
I'm not discounting how much Linehan and Marinelli have added to this team. This is the reason we're a winning team. But I think the reason we're division champions is because the Cowboys aren't so easy going.

Ha, Garrett haters. Guy deserves credit. He runs the show. He's in charge more than you think. Have to hand it to him.

Does he have good coordinators? Yes. Not many here were excited when Linehan was hired, but now he and old man Marinelli are the only reasons we are 11-4. Garrett had a hand in making those hirings/promotion.

There are/were a bunch of so called good/great coaches who had good/great coordinators who contributed to their success.

And whoever said this is like Barry Switzer, please.

They really did and are doing Lindley no favors with this offensive gameplan.

Yeah, Switzer was actually better than Garrett. His coordinators still ran the show like Marinelli/Linehan are doing now but at least he won at Oklahoma. Garrett, not so much. But as long as his role is diminished and we have quality assistants, I'll take it. Best we can hope for now.

Was it the 2008 season where the Eagles had like 5 games go their way in week 17 to keep their playoff hopes alive?

Switzer was great at Oklahoma. He inherited a great team at Dallas and won. Deserves more credit than he gets because a bunch of teams with great talent haven't won a thing.

Garrett's been here awhile now. Not many guys on the roster now we're here when he started. He's not a puppet. I know people like to diminish his role, but he's in charge how this team prepares for the season, how meetings/practices are run, etc. He's the leader of this team. His voice is heard more than anyone else's.

Actually the biggest difference, offensively anyway, is the OL.

Linehan was no genius in his other stops and he's running Garrett's system.

He's a better playcaller, sure. But he can do what he does because teams can't stop the run without over committing to it. Which they have been the past few weeks.

Well, it's hard for people who said he was the worst coach in the league to completely backtrack on that hyperbole now.

Of course this team gets its personality from his lead. Just like they were bitches when Wade was here, they've been kinda resilient, actually, in Garretts term.

He's no great coach but he is better at leading the team than calling plays, which is why it's good that Linehan is here. But to say he's doing "nothing" is just stubborn refusal to admit that some of the criticism was misplaced.

Jimmy Johnson had great coordinators too... Didn't mean he did "nothing."

Yes he does. Nothing like Bill Belichick does, but credit nonetheless for getting out of the way on offense. Whatever happens, I'm happy for him
So he's not involved in the offensive game plan? Bullshit. He doesn't talk to Linehan during the game and have input? Bullshit.

No, he doesn't. Even this week Jerry Jones announced DeMarco Murray was starting on his radio broadcast.
What the eff does that mean? So Jerry announced it? Big deal. We all know Jerry wants as much radio/tv time as he can get. While he's doing that Garrett is preparing his team for a game. Just because Jerry announced it doesn't mean Garrett wasn't involved in the decision.

Yep, Garrett does absolutely nothing all week, all during the game, all offseason, etc. Just collects his paycheck.

He's the head coach. We're 11-4 and NFC East champs. Just because a lot of you said we'd never do squat with him, especially this year, doesn't mean you have to diminish his role in the success of the team this year. Just admit you were wrong about it and move on instead of trying to make it look like it's everybody but Garrett who are responsible for the success of this team.

Thus far this season we don't win unless Tony Romo is flawless.

I don't feel comfortable when talent is canceled (like in the playoffs) and coaching factors even more strongly.

Maybe the whole team is riding the results of his "process", but I still want to see a signature win for Garrett where I felt his gameday presence made a difference.

There's more to coaching than game day presence.

And what is it exactly you want to see? I think this team has been pretty good at halftime adjustments all year actually. Is that not a game day coaching presence?

If Seattle holds on and wins we'll host the loser of the GB/Det game in the wildcard, unless we happen to get the #2 seed with AZ and Seattle losing next week.

Yep, and Bill Walsh doesn't win without Montana or Belichick without Brady, etc. Come on.

They just clinched their fucking division. What team wouldn't drop gatorade on their coach?
