zero ball skills. Newman was an alright coverage corner but he didn't have much of a sense for where the football was or how to get his hands around it. He also generated some penalties because he always played the receiver and never the ball.
Well that was the thing. Even if a WR looked covered by Newman, the QB could just throw the ball there and the WR would still almost always come down with it. Newman never had a clue where the ball was at.
