What they really want is equal outcomes which is absurd.
Well this is how they always argue things. Lower standards for minority subgroups to balance out the outcomes. But what they don't want to admit is the implication that this makes. That a certain group is less intelligent or that a certain group is physically weaker. But if you ultimately want everyone to be treated the same, then you have to make the requirements the same, not the outcomes.

No surprise that this asshole now wants to serve a third term.
It's not a surprise that he wants to. I don't really give a shit what he wants when it comes to this topic. He won't and no one should ever serve a third term. If you go down that road you'll end up in the same shitty place as congress with some lifer asshole that enough people like to just keep re electing them.

I'm interested in seeing how this all shakes out. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend to know enough about economics to predict anything, but you'd be hard pressed to find any conservative in favor of tariffs pre-Trump. For example, the Pauls, whom some here revere, they hate them.

The objective is not to leave them in place but to use them as a negotiating tool to bring other countries to the table so that we can get fairer deals. Yes, they'd be bad if we left them in place.

Outside of a place like China we should have no tariffs and no one should have them for us. But we weren't there and we aren't there. So we kind of have to see how this plays out. It's going to increase production here but at what cost is the question.
