And to be clear, Williams is not one of my top choices at 12 and I'm pretty sure I'd even take Harmon over him, but I still think he's a bona fide top 15ish type prospect pending the inside knowledge on what the deal was with his ankle.

I like Burch a lot too, they're similar players and I'd love Burch in the 2nd, but Williams is a better physical talent and will likely be the better player. I watched the whole Burch video and I didn't see a single play as impressive as what Williams did to Banks.
Yeah we see that very differently, didn't look like he beat him clean at all. And 9/10 times the QB can easily avoid that. Looked like some Taco level skill to me. He barely clipped his arm and mostly ran straight upfield.

I don't disagree he will go top 15, but I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't with Burch either. My point is simply I think Burch looks a little better and he is going second round probably.

My biggest question is how do they view the various DT's like Harmon, Grant and Nolen?
This is the biggest question. Do they think any of these guys are worth 12?

I like Harmon and Grant a lot though am cooling on Nolen.

If not, I could see them taking a popular choice like Williams-- not in the interior-- but as a Tank replacement to complement 11.

IMO, with Parsons, Sam Williams and Fowler, I see interior DL as a much greater lift for us.

Graham is long gone by 12, unfortunately.

Think you're just looking for things to nitpick at this point.

In the video you posted he damn near got his hand on the QB's shoulder, you're acting like Banks drove him past the pocket and Williams got lucky to tap the ball as he flew by. He got to Banks' upfield shoulder, flattened a bit and went straight for the ball.

Sure the QB could've ran escaped to his left but that's what happens when your DE is attacking upfield, it's on the DT or an LB to maintain those interior rush lanes from being wide open.

And if we draft him I'll hope we can coach the hell out of him. But I see no pass rush skill at all. I don't see a quick first step. I see a physical guy who can move well and just tries to rush right through guys and the vast majority of plays he makes he is barely blocked or he is beating a RB trying to pick him up or he is the second or third guy there just cleaning it up.

I'm not saying he is worthless. But I'd be surprised if he has more than 3-5 sacks as a rookie. I'd feel better if that wasn't my 12th overall pick. For me, I'd have him outside the top 32. I'd say second round pick but to some that means he could be like the 14th best player in this draft. I don't grade that way.

We will probably go with a draft pick as backup, with a Will grier type thrown in as competition. Which is a bad strategy because it means we'd have to force a pick at QB whether it makes sense or not.

At the same time, Rush isn't good so given how cheap this team is I'm not sure it would have made any sense to pay Rush anything. We might be just as well off with a Grier type.

As an aside I just checked and Grier is literally still on the team which I wasn't sure of, so yeah that's probably the plan and I'm not sure it's that much of a downgrade.

Yeah, we will see I guess but I have trouble believing this. It would be a pretty precipitous fall. Stranger things have happened though.

Regardless I would rather roll the dice with Amari than count on Campbell or Mingo for anything at all.

I mean it's literally what we drafted Kneeland for
You are right of course though Kneeland lacks the quickness

That's why the signs point to Harmon or Grant for the win, even if we can't trade down.

Harmon may be a tad overweight, but the kid is always around the Ball. Both he and Grant have a compass pointed at the QB which I like.
