Eh, that's not really special like we were told. Thats just kind of what you'd want in a full size DE. I don't want him.
But think of how we could get that player that was projected inside the top 10 ala Walker a few years ago at 12. Think about it.

I never understood why he was projected that high. He is a run stopping DE with very limited pass rush ability. I'm not drafting Solomon Thomas 2.0.

What’s the difference between Landon Jackson and Williams except for the ability to grow any hair?

I wouldn't hate Williams at 12 but I wouldn't love it either, especially after he only tested "decent" as opposed to Travon Walker who completely blew everything out of the water at the Combine.

I wouldn't hate it because I want some legitimate full-sized DE's next to small ass Parsons and I think Williams has 8-10 sack potential, especially if he's used as an interior rusher in nickel/dime. I could see Osa and Williams being a load for teams on the interior, especially with Parsons taking all the attention of opposing OL's.

But he's definitely not a "top of the list", thrilled if he's there guy.

His mediocre production doesn’t bother you?
His production wasn't mediocre compared to the numbers most top picks out of Georgia put up.

He was more productive than Travon Walker, Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith, and probably others.

This feels important given his size.

James Pearce's was 1.56, Shemar Stewart's was 1.58, Landon Jackson was 1.65, Jordan Burch was 1.66.

Going back to past drafts, Travon Walker and Aidan Hutchinson were both 1.62.

I don't know how (or if) he tested in anything else, but 1.59 compared to Pearce's 1.56 with an extra 20 lbs. is pretty impressive.

Hand timed, what a joke. Sorry if I don't take suddenly better numbers as legit.

I used to think Pro Day numbers were BS but they seemed legit during COVID when there was no Combine, so I'll believe this.

And the point I was making was on the split, whether he ran a 4.69 or 4.74 doesn't mean much to me either way.

Yeah I just laugh when I see hand timed and suddenly on odd ball has him at a 4.69 forty. How reliable is a 10 yard split then? Like I just don't think I can find that number reliable when the forties have such a spread. The 10 yard split will also had a wide spread. Especially something that happens bang bang that quick.

I've always been out on him though. The numbers don't really matter to me. I just think it's funny how hand timed numbers can be manipulated to make his run seem better or worse.

The Tet Offensive was a tactical win only. It ended up a strategic disaster for us.

Hopefully it won't be the same if he's a Cowboy. :lol
