I think I'd prefer Moore over Deion. I very much would hate either, but with Deion I don't think I'd be able to take the circus.
Yeah, I mean I don't want Kellen either. But I guess I'm surprised so many hate him as much as they do. At least another team or two seem interested in him. Nobody else would even look at Deion or Witten.

I think it's the opposite.

Moore isn't some strong-minded individual.

He's not a hard-nosed coach or anybody that's going to command the respect of the locker room.

And he damn sure isn't going to stand up to Jerry in any way.

Deion is probably the perfect candidate to handle the circus because he IS the circus. That's why I've been pleasantly surprised at both his coaching style and his coaching demeanor.

And while he is taking that responsibility with more seriousness than I ever imagined, he still rolls with a large entourage and loves the attention that comes from what he's doing.

So if anyone was made to coach under our tent? It's that guy.

I don't think he's the perfect coach, but I do believe he's the perfect personality for this environment because he knows exactly how to navigate within it.

I mean I think Moore is smart. He probably gets more disdain on here than he deserves and has more ability when it comes to designing plays then he gets credit for. Obviously at least two other NFL teams think he has done a good enough job to consider him for their head coaching jobs.

With that being said, I just don't think he has the personality for a head coaching job. He would give zero push back to anything Jerry wants to do. I'm not even sure Jerry would respect his opinion on anything.

Deion would be a deeply flawed choice but for different reasons. He is a Jerry like salesman when it comes to creating publicity but I don't think he has any real x and o's ability. I don't he has any sense of strategy or ability to build a cohesive team. He just knows how to throw a bunch of really talented guys out on the field and get them to play. I think he would have way more influence over Jerry but that might not be a good thing in this case because I don't think he has any idea how to build a really good team.

That's exactly it right there.

I don't think this guy is capable of leading ANY NFL locker room much less the one in Dallas where his balls will be clipped before he even walks in the building.

And there's no chance whatsoever that that guy pushes back on anything that Jones family suggests.

He literally is the worst case scenario for me.

There is ZERO chance for success with him at the helm.

Jerry can't help but try to force his buddies and friends into the building.
That is why Moore is hated on here. Ever since he was here Moore was doted on and it just brings back the same Garrett vibes.

The truly sad part is that this is likely to be the exit to the functional, high times of the recent history of the franchise. This is likely to be similar to the exiting of the stable, competent Bill Parcells years.

Coming up: we go back to dice rolling on no names and never-was coordinators no one else wants for a decade. But this time we have no 27 year old Romo to make things interesting.

I totally agree. He was a forced pet project just like Garrett and just like Jerry wants to make Witten. He thinks of himself as some sort of a groomer. Kellen got opportunities he probably didn't deserve and it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. He actually is a legit candidate this year for an NFL coaching job but it feels like it would be a total disaster here. I think the offense would probably play really well under him most of the time but that's about it.

The good news is that at this point, any coach hired could in theory be the last coach Jerry ever hires.

Even 5 years ago when he hired McCarthy that was not a great bet.

He was 77 then. He’s 82 now. Another 5 years? Might be all we have left.

I totally get that. I don't want him either. You get the Mike McDaniel feeling from him where he's just an X and O guy who players won't really respect.

I do think he wouldn't be as bad as Garrett, though. At least Kellen has done enough for other teams to want to hire him and isn't just here because his daddy was an ass-kissing mediocrity for Jerry when he first bought the team. Plus he's not a phony Ivy League used car salesman.
