Not anymore.Did they change that? I thought TD in OT wins.

Of course he is. He's had 20+ years to accomplish that. I'm not saying that Mahomes is the GOAT. Just that he deserves to be mentioned when talking about it. It's OK to say Brady is the GOAT but given a few more years Mahomes could take the crown.I think he's already top 5 for sure, maybe even top 2-3, but there's no argument against a QB who holds just about every record and has 7 Super Bowl wins.
I don't think Mahomes needs to get to 7 necessarily, 5 could do it depending on the circumstances and the rest of his career and he's certainly on track, but Brady is just way too far ahead right now in terms of everything.
Whoa whoa whoa there, Cowboy.I think Purdy kinda shit the bed and showed what he is last night.
He's a good QB, but, he's "good," and that might not be any better than Dak or maybe even worse.
I don't think that's true. I think they give the ball to both teams during the regular season too. I could be wrong, though. They changed it for the playoffs
A lot of people, notable media types too, have commented on how average he's been this year and have mocked his "Romo-isms". I think he's hearing the noise and was kind of pressing to silence the critics.Romo was terrible last night. Like he hadn't prepared and this was a mid-season Colts - Jags game. Plus he seemed nervous even though this wasn't his first SB.
Lamb is definitely more of a pure WR than anything the 49ers have. You really don't see the 49ers completing the high difficulty throws that we do to Lamb. But that's not their offense. They are built on spreading the ball around with easier completions. And in terms of depth of weapons they have far more than us.There is zero question I take his skill position talent over ours, Lamb is the only guy in the conversation, but their other guys are so much better than ours. And other than Parsons I take their D over ours too.
I've heard games where he was good and bad this year. When he's good, I think he's the best. Last night was one of his worst games I've ever heard.A lot of people, notable media types too, have commented on how average he's been this year and have mocked his "Romo-isms". I think he's hearing the noise and was kind of pressing to silence the critics.
The Chiefs defense came up clutch on 3rd down all night despite giving up long drives most of the night, holding them to FG's consistently is why they won.It hasn't been talked about a lot but that play where McDuffie blitzed and deflected Purdy's pass on 3rd and 4 with 2 minutes to play, is arguably one of the top 3 plays of the game.
If SF converts that 3rd down they can probably drain the clock and win the game on a FG.
We have a better OL, lead WR, QB and CB's than SF, arguably safeties as well, other than that they're far better and their OL ultimately performs better than ours because of Shannahan's scheme.Lamb is definitely more of a pure WR than anything the 49ers have. You really don't see the 49ers completing the high difficulty throws that we do to Lamb. But that's not their offense. They are built on spreading the ball around with easier completions. I guess what it really comes down to is the 49ers aren't afraid to spend money on talent. Which gives them more talents depth. I'm not just talking backups but talent is more evenly distributed among their starters. Plus great schemes.
And they still lost.
If you don't have Mahomes in your top 5, then you're just hating on the guy at this point.I don't see how you can't say that he is. Not saying that he is the GOAT but he deserves to be in the conversation. The only thing that is holding him back is something that he has no control over. Time.
I'm not so sure about that...Put Purdy in Dallas with our roster and we'd go 9-8 at best.
It was terrible. It looked like the first game of the year where the offenses haven't played any snaps together yet. While all of the chatter today is about Mahomes and such, that was one of the worst played Super Bowls I've ever seen.
Penalties, fumbles, muffed punts (including one that really got KC back in a comfortable position), blocked and tipped FG's/XP's, listless offense.
It'll be remembered for the end because it was tight throughout and the ending was exciting, but overall the quality of play on the field was almost comical through 3 quarters.
I'm going to allow him a little more time to grow. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 years for QBs to fully mature.I think Purdy kinda shit the bed and showed what he is last night.

He wins playoff games because he has elite talent everwhere around him.

This was not a game where I came away impressed by anyone on offense. Props to Mahomes but we have all seen him look better than that. While all of the chatter today is about Mahomes and such, that was one of the worst played Super Bowls I've ever seen.
Last night I said if it were a midseason game I'd have turned the game off. While all of the chatter today is about Mahomes and such, that was one of the worst played Super Bowls I've ever seen.

Bingo...I'm going to allow him a little more time to grow. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 years for QBs to fully mature.
But yeah, right now he looks like he's on the same tier as Dak. Although, I will say he appears to handle the mental aspect of big games a lot better than Dak. Dak's got him in the physical talent department but I'd prefer a QB who doesn't completely fall apart every year in the postseason.
