Dan Campbell getting a lot of support.
THAT'S WHO THEY ARE!!
THAT'S WHO THEY ARE!!
Having gone through a Mike Leach coaching stint I am more open and forgiving to a team and their 4th down conversions.Dan Campbell getting a lot of support.

I wasn't fine with the first one.Having gone through a Mike Leach coaching stint I am more open and forgiving to a team and their 4th down conversions.
I was fine with the first one and I get it. I was, however, not fine with the play selection. Run the damn ball on that one. Had success all night long.
I was not fine with the second one at all.
This is why I'd be pissed at Dan Campbell if I were a Lions fan. It's one thing to be reckless with your decision making during the regular season, but the stakes were too high to flippantly leave points on the field.I have a friend who is also a Lions fan and he said "we'll be back". They might. It looks that way. However, that's not how it works in sports. You have to seize each and every opportunity. And a 17 point lead in and NFC Championship game is a huge opportunity.
Opinions are great aren't they? We can both have ours.I wasn't fine with the first one.
Also just as I figured, everyone is doubling down on Mahomes being the best of all times already,
I don't know if it is recency bias or a desperation for anyone with a little color in their skin to be the best.
I watched some of Get Up this morning and to no surprise it was a disgusting lovefest for Campbell's decisions.Dan Campbell getting a lot of support.

I wasn’t fine with either of them. Take the fucking points and force SF to try to increase the number of possessions needed to win. Had they kicked the FGs, they would’ve won the game. Going for it both times only proved how little Dan Campbell knows about situational football. Stupid maverick shit is tolerable in the regular season, but you don’t pull those stunts in the playoffs, especially when a Super Bowl berth is on the line.Having gone through a Mike Leach coaching stint I am more open and forgiving to a team and their 4th down conversions.

No level-headed person should be fine with the second one. At that point in the game you have to at least go for the tie.Having gone through a Mike Leach coaching stint I am more open and forgiving to a team and their 4th down conversions.

It was about as smart as getting tricky with offensive linemen reporting. No level-headed person should be fine with the second one. At that point in the game you have to at least go for the tie.
For the sake of Lions fans hopefully he's learned a valuable lesson about time and place for those type of decisions. Unfortunately it took him pissing away a trip to the Super Bowl to drive home the point.I wasn’t fine with either of them. This was literally a once in a lifetime opportunity for that fan base. Sucks that it had to end like that all because the head coach couldn't check his ego.
Until you can prove that the 49ers wouldn't have done that then all we have are opinions. I'm fine with it because I know the out come could have been even better than 3 points. Just totally disagree with the play call but in all honesty I probably would have chickened out for the reasons you stated above.I wasn’t fine with either of them. Again, that's why I said last night that he reminded me of those gambling addicts who can't take losing so they keep gambling to try and make up for their losses but instead just keep on shooting themselves in the foot.It was about as smart as getting tricky with offensive linemen reporting.
But at that point in the game do you really think it was worth the risk to go up 21 instead of 17 when the latter also puts you up 3 possessions and shortens the game for the 49ers?Until you can prove that the 49ers wouldn't have done that then all we have are opinions.
